Saturday's Record Store Day got me enthused to drag out some old vinyl and give it a listen.
Unfortunately my belt has gone on my turntable.
Anyone know where I might get a new one around Donny?

Not in Donny, but you could try Richer Sounds in Leeds or Sheffield

I could flog you an ION turntable to convert your vynil to MP3 !
I had a mad idea to do my 130 LP.s to PC and then on to I Pod but the thing was smarter than I thought and just copied them straight to I Pod
However I got bored and did just 10 Albums before ditching the ION in a corner ! I also have the 130 LP.s if anyone wants to make an offer for them . I have a list of the lot and can e-mail them to anyone who may be interested

I've tried Richer before, no good unfortunately although their Sheff store is where I bought the turntable from originally.
Not bothered about converting them to mp3 either tbh as it's the sound quality of the old vinyl that I'm interested in. I already have a fair few on CD and vinyl.
I''ll keep looking ta.

What make turntable is it?
I had a lovely Rega Planar 2 some years ago, but flogged it on ebay along with the rest of my hifi when the kids came oling and insisted on pushing the tweeter domes in on my KEF speakers. Got about £100 for it.

Thanks for that, looks promising. Its only a cheapish 'Eclipse' one - (do they still exist) that cost about £80 so I don't want to spent too much on a belt.
