Was just about to say, fledgling Twitter rumour that the 2nd player is Robbie Blake, 36-year-old forward just released by Bolton from the Premier League. Might be a decent acquisition at this level.

As I was saying in a thread yesterday we need a blend of experience and youth like we've had in successful teams in the past (think Fortune-West, Barnes, Gareth Taylor all came in and did a job, I think he'd give us that and certainly in a role that allows him to work with young Ball etc could be a clever move.

He also partnered Saunders at Bradford :D

Bit disappointed if it is Blake really. I know he's a good player, but he's a bit of a luxury player - I thought we were meant to be going for people who would play at a high tempo, get in the opponents' faces and chase things down.

Very uninspired by Robbie Blake! Poor goal scoring record and barely any games under his belt for sometime!

If used correctly Blake will be an asset in League One. I expect him to get more assists than goals next season.

Seeing has he played alongside Deano and given his age, could it be that he has been brought in to develop our young striker and possibly lead to a coaching role?
