I became aware of county/state football teams in Spain a while ago. Catalan and Basque still have theirs and Andalucia had one up until about 5 years ago. Some other states there I presume still have theirs. They idea is they come together occasionally for exhibition matches, testimonials and the like. but with all the talk of Yorkshire during the Olympics it got me thinking. If Yorkshire was an independent country at the Olympics, what would be the current Yorkshire side?
Same selection criteria as national teams. Players must have been born or have Yorkshire parentage.
Just a bit of fun, interested to see what we might come up with.

M - Jacob Butterfield - Norwich (b. Bradford)

F - Caleb Folan (b. Leeds)
Could technically claim Gary Cahill too (b. Dronfield). Sheffield FC play there so I suppose it's a sort of claim. Can't help but notice too that Spurs seems to be over run with Yorkshire lads.
Managers ... Keegan, Steve McLaren ... gotta be Mick McCarthy for me.
