We've launched a new fanzine website feature called 'Go Away!' giving supporters a guide for Rovers' Away Days. It's started today with a guide to Walsall (http://popularstand.wordpress.com/2012/08/17/go-away-no-1-walsall/)

Nice work, Glen.

Are we to understand from that that the Popular Stand website white mice are back on the exercise wheel?

Cheers Viva, the "how does one blend in" didn't half make me chuckle  looking forward to the next installment.

The fanzine website has only had a month's break. Plan is to put a bit more regular content up during the season, but it's unlikely to match the regularity of the output of Viva Rovers if that's what you meant.

Glenn - I'll incorporate that link in the match thread from now on

Yeah, I was wondering if you'd rebranded from Viva.  Might be an idea when we pick up some momentum.....

Nah, turns out that all painstakingly crafting a site over several years off your own back and out of your own pocket earns you is the right to be called a c**t, so Viva won't be coming back regardless.

Fanzine, in print or online, is a different entity and I'm happy with that.

Oh yes.  If your outside the top two leagues you are less significant than a spot on Gaby's latest Leopard skin.  Unless you're Portsmouth.....or Rangers

They wouldn't have got 3 if SOD was still in charge - so its SOD's fault again!

So what was this 60yarder from Cotts like?

Post by: nice one rovers on August 18, 2012, 05:50:05 pm
Well, he ran to about 60 yards from goal, slowed down a bit, sort of pulled his leg back (not sure which one) , then kicked the ball really hard towards the net. The ball flew through the air, went past the goalie and into the net. It was bloody great.

Yep, you're right. Missed the flippin' train due to flippin' work!
Just thought I'd have a stab in the dark and try and get it right. Is it stab , or shot? I'm never sure?

It wasn't from 60 yards out though, that's just silly.

It was more like 720 yards out. He was practically in Wolverhampton when he struck it.
