And of all those 22 teams, only Forest Green can say they have remained in the Conference every season since! Though I think they have actually finished in relegation spot only to be reprieved on a good few occasions.

Good read fuzzy. Spurr crossed for jones on Tuesday though..
It's a little surprising that only Leigh have gone to the wall out of those clubs, although I suppose Scarborough and Halifax are new sides really.
Title: Re: Yeovil v Donny Rovers - Nostagia Time
Post by: FuzzyDuck on September 01, 2012, 08:15:10 am
Many of them, Halifax, Scarborough, Margate, Gravesend & Northfleet are not the same clubs that they were.  I was originally just going to say they folded and when they folded but decided to dig deeper.  Leigh RMI folded before reincarnation as Leigh Genesis.  They were relegated in 2010/11 from The NPL division 1 North.  They had no ground and did not apply for membership of the Northern Counties League.

You're quite right about Forest Green Rovers being the only one of those teams never to have left the conference since that season though how they have not been relegated, no one is really sure.

I reckon Rovers to nick it 2-1  :scarf:

I'm not in a good mood today. I miss Copps, the Oldham game has been caled off meaning I have to find something to bloody do next weekend that is not watching football, and I really wanted to go today but had nobody to go with.

But a win makes everything feel a little bit better, it really does. So come on you reds  :scarf:

Come on Rovers. I'm going for a tight game and a clean sheet.
2-0 rovers. Syers and The Decorator getting off the mark.

I still cannot understand why we don't start Harper over Woods, in the 3 league games I've watched this season Woods struggles in the middle of the park.

Fingers crossed it changes today...

Husband isn't a right back, much prefer Quinn to play. Unless you want him to replace Spurr which would be insanity.

Husbands good enough to play either side. Would prefer Spurr partnering Jones in the centre.

Cotterill our best player at minute

Don't understand why Dean as changed the midfield again from Tuesday. Syers much more effective in an attacking midfield role can't do that playing along side Woods. But we will wait and see.

The defence has kept us in it. They look at 6's and 7's because they're having to do last ditch defending cause of the mistakes in front of them.
Camped in their half now buy they look dangerous in the break.
Don't think it's gonna stay 1-0
