Blake and Hume sounding lively, Martis sounding solid. A lot to be positive about this first half so far.

Sulli reckons Maxted coming on in leaps and bounds - good for crosses then?

Sounds like a few goals in this game...  :clapping:

Knickers. Sounds a bit controversial, should've had a free kick apparently?

Woods again sounding at fault. Ho hum.

Was that you in the programme this past weekend Fuzzy btw?

On Ex-Rovers watch, Ryan Mason sounds like he's having a decent game in the Spurs midfield at Carlisle, and Franck Moussa has 'given leadership' for his new Coventry team at the Emirates. Also, Dean Shiels has doubled Rangers lead over SPL leaders Motherwell in the cup.

Probably - was it about FC Winti?
Title: Re: Canaries 1 : 0 Rovers
Post by: RoversAlias on September 26, 2012, 08:39:23 pm
Yeah it was about Winterthur and how you're (presumably you) living out there, talking about how both clubs where similar colours etc.

The ref is Darren Deaman so we wont be getting any decisions of him that's for sure.

Sound like we're doing ok when we pass the ball going forward but heart in mouth when the ball goes near our box.

To be fair G Woods sounds like he's made a couple of saves but, a keeper has to have an instinct to catch the ball and too many times he has punched when it should be easier to catch.  Trouble is his punching is not good either! You do wonder what the hell they are coaching him down at Cantley Park.

Good to hear Shelton having a good game and McCombe seems to be relishing the captains armband.

Anyway, all to play for. With Hume, Cotterill and Blake there's a goal in us.

Some good insight from Neil Sullivan on Rovers Player.

Rovers sound like they are giving a go at it. Martis sounds very unlucky not to have scored from close range.

Hopefully a better 2nd 45 to come from the lads

Dave Penny on Radio Sheffield is calling an even game. Could have been a foul before the goal but not given. Also Woods two poor punches which could have led to two goals had it not been for clearances from Martis and McCombe.

Martin Woods gone off injured and David Syers on.
Title: Re: Canaries 1 : 0 Rovers
Post by: FuzzyDuck on September 26, 2012, 08:54:31 pm
Yeah - when I first got here Winti were red/white hoops.  Since then they've changed to red with white trim.  Fan song is "Rot und Wiess isst Labe lang" - Means Red and White is Lifelong

Anyway - I took Rovers a signed pennant for the Expats box and they gave me a signed shirt for Libero bar.  More people in Switzerland should know about the Rovers and more people in Donny should know about Winti.  Great clubs - both of them.  Of course one is slightly greater  :rtid:

Still think we'll win this... I predicted 2-1.

I'd like to see Middleton come on, but i can't really see Saunders not bringing Bennett on tbh!

You can tell the game has died down a bit because they've spent 5 minutes talking about Elliot Ward's testicles on RS!

Bennett on now.

Three Bennetts now on the field and Spurr off. Husband back to left back.

Nope - I was typing in Swiss German - Believe me you don't want to know.  Its a dialect that many of them write.  Thing is there is no incorrect spelling as it has not been defined - so everyone has ago.  Chaos!

Well we will  probably lose this now, but we've not doen ourselves any harm here! 1-0 defeat, steady performance, no injuries (as far as we know), a run out for a few players getting back fit. Pretty good all round i'd say.

Kyle Bennett not in the game again.

Was asked something like, is there a prospect of a return to Wimbledon. To which he said there's been nothing yet, but was quick to add, "lets not rule it out". He'd said earlier that his main aim was getting fit and playing for Donny.

Ooooh! Still time :)

Great move Husband puts in the cross Brown inches away, Hume inches away and Syers fails to convert at the far post.

Woods limping a bit, aggravated a knock he picked up on sat - doesn't sound serious at all.

And several top drawer saves that kept Norwich at bay too! C'mon fellas credit where credit's due too  and negatives at others apart from our favourite scapegoats eh?  :P Strikers missed a fair few chances they should've put away too - moan about them too!

Well played Roves - Unlucky!
