Good god that looks horrific. No way would I get anywhere near that in the UK let alone abroad with a less stringent health and safety regime. Madness.

I'd probably never be able to do that, though I know a few people who have tried it and they say the feeling is fantastic. Ever since hearing on QI about how the most common injury is detached retinas, it's totally put me off the idea for good.

With my fear of heights you wouldn't even have got me to step out onto the bridge let alone toss mesen off...

PS Re the jumping. What I think is really (!) weird is that I have jumped out of an aeroplane no problem, and very close to the top of my list of things to do is hang gliding. Now how come I'm ok with those two equally scary things, but I can hardly even bear to watch that bloody jump?

Jeez why not just drop a tab of acid or something? Lasts a bit longer and has a far more profound effect.
Weird way to getcha kicks jumping off a platform attached to a laggy band but each to their own ;-)

Haha no Bob, it's not, and it's killed less people than dodgy laggy bands too! LOL ;-)
I've just never got it - "I'm gonna die , I'm gonna die, I'm gonna, I'm slowing down, I might survive, it's gonna be close, I've stopped, I'm dangling on a piece of elastic above white water rapids, I'm gonna die, etc.
