Well that proves it for me today
Deano is out of his depth at wolves
We are stuck with a past master
Past been the operative word
He has talked himself and the team up,and has fallen flat on his face
Keep shtum and get stuck in,let the players do the talking
Oh we'll...........up the rovers
-
To be fair I cringed when he kept saying we are the best team in the league, keep shtum..........
On a positive we were the miles better team untill the 75th min.....heads up lads keep pushing
-
Jesus! I must get the sat nav on my motor checked. I must have got lost somewhere between Scarborough and Donny.
Miles better team up to the 75th minute? If we play as 'well' again on Tuesday night (especially 2nd half) we'll get beat again. Walsall looked like scoring every time they attacked in 2nd half. No midfield, and a defence that don't like the ball on the floor.

Rubbish; Deano has picked up a load of overpaid egotistical numpties at Wolves.
Doyle £50k A WEEK, Roger (I should be England CB) Johnson £35k A WEEK, Jamie O'Hara £30k A WEEK.
There are a whole load more who are getting stupid wages who aren't good enough to be in League 1.
He needs to do exactly what he did at Wrexham and here; get rid of the big earners not pulling their weight and bring a new team together.
He left Wrexham top and us 2nd; and given time, he'll have Wolves in the Premiership too.

Maybe he will, but quite possibly it will have to be via League 1.
I wouldn't blame that on him, but would the Wolves fans and board accept falling to the third tier for the first time in 35 years, and this time not because of a financial meltdown? Could be an interesting end to the season coming up at Molineaux.
-
If Saunders goes down with Wolves then he's done an awful job, I don't care what anyone else says but that squad is good enough to go up.
If Flynn fails miserably on the otherhand he'll just go back to been scout, his more natural position and all will be forgotten.
-
Wolves won't go down; there are 3 clubs much, much worse.
Huddersfield (and it pains me to say that)
Posh
Bristol City
Although don't write off Blackpool to get dragged into it.
-
Same Bristol City who have won 3 of their last four games? Wolves had better not kid themselves they are too good to go down, the form they are in they are the worst team in that divison.

Wolves shouldn't be anywhere bear the drop zone though, that was my point. They should be in the play-offs at the very least. But unfortunately for them Stale was rubbish and Saunders hasn't exactly got off to a good start.
Oh, and I think Bristol City will stay up, just.

Exactly, no team is too good or big to go down.
I personally, think they will go down. Even though with the squad they have they shouldn't.

Exaclty, no team is too good or big to go down.
In fact, it suggests quite the opposite of them if they do go down! :P
As for too big, well, look at them lot down the road, three lots of them in fact. Might be MASSIVE as they don't ever let us forget but it's no guarantee of success.
This season's relegation battle is certainly an interesting one. Absolutely unpredictable for every time.
The team that wants it most will be the team that stays up.
Same goes for the title race in our own division.

Spankster are you going senile ?

Yes, the same Bristol City who have won 3 of their last four games will go down.
Even if they did survive, they'll be in the same position (just like Barnsley) in 12 months when they'll fire the manager again....
Sometimes it's best just to take the hit and come back stronger.

Funny how many Rovers fans seem to dislike & try to find anything to put down a man who's hard work sorted out a sinking ship and looked like taking us back to the championship. Praise or grumble Rovers fan says Saunders was a lucky manager, what a disgraceful thing to say.
-
Dean has got major problems to sort out at Wolves, they have been a club for a long time, where players just come to pick up a wage,i suspect under Dean that will all change,he has a good enough side to stay in that league, the real work starts in the summer, trying to trim the wage bill down, they will be on very good wages some of them, who will want an under performing player,on a big wage, not many,he will be dealing with some big ego's at Wolves, players who think they are far better than their performances show, they are going nowhere this season, but if he can offload players, and get what he wants in,they might be worth a bet for next season.
Brian Flynn for me,was the logical appointment,it just happens that we've hit a bad run,the problem is,there isn't a lot of leeway for losing too many, because of how close the top five are,the answer for me.bring a central defender in on loan,Cassidy, and just leave Coppinger,Sinclair and Fowler on the bench,i know most will say,get rid of Harper, but he was in the team when we were doing well,if he continues to not perform, then Fowler comes in,our two flair players are Cotterill and Bennett, can we afford to fit Coppinger into the system,it's just putting him in at the expense of the team as a whole,it doesn't work,it's a bit inbalanced, leave copps on the bench.
-
Eh,? Copps ran the show first half yesterday, best player on the pitch by a country mile.
Copps has to start every game for me. Once Hume is back we will look more balanced. Copps can go wide again, Cotts on the other side, and Hume behind Brown or Billy.
-
I Just don't think the side is set up for Coppinger,Cotterill and Bennett in the side,we are doing a Sven trying to fit round pegs in square holes,as in no matter what Gerrard and Lampard had to be in the team, even if they had to play wide left, even though it wasn't their position, that's not how you build a successful team, some players who don't fit the system have to start on the bench,it's a team game,we don't want to go back to what we had before,no team and just individuals, having said all that,i think we are more than capable of beating MK Dons,so all of this will prove redundant in the end,it won't be easy, but we will just edge it.
-
Flynn versus Saunders, you say? No contest.
Deano wins everytime.
