....................come on Preston, just need the Blunts to mess up now :scarf: :scarf:
-
Lovely :scarf: :scarf:
-
Need Yeovil to mess up too. They'll be on the same points as us if they win. Next weekend is a massive game against them

...which isn't good  our record against them, anyone?

Our record against them is a shocker. I'd like us to beat Crawley Monday and I'd snap anyone's hand off for a draw against Yeovil Saturday

Home matches (Conference, League and FAT Trophy): Played 10, Won 1, Drawn 1 Lost 8
Away a bit better P11, W2, D4, L5
Up there with Reading as our biggest bogey team
-
Howe out!
Would take a point against Yeovil as always but that just makes Monday's game a must-win if we want to keep the pressure on.
-
Preston is the only bright spot of today I'm afraid.
-
Monday is massive now. We have to win.

To be honest mate I disagree, still think a point would be a good result

I disagree too with you with the Yeovil game coming up ........we need all 3 points on Monday surely ?
-
It would be a good result, but with it being our game in hand we really need maximum points to give ourselves a bit of breathing space.

Exactly.

If Hume and Syers are back,I reckon we will get 3 pts in both the Crawley and Yeovil games,And Tranmere play Swindon on Tuesday night.Cannot both win. :scarf: :scarf:

Will Bournemoth be drawn like a moth to a flame and burn up :)

It is crunch time though and if we're going to be up there come the end of the season we need to pick up wins in games like this. I know people usually say they'd take a point at tricky away games, including myself, but the team can't have that mentality if they want to challenge at the top of the table.

Correct it's now shit or bust if that means one loss and one win rather than two draws ; then the average point score is better.
-
With most of the other six in winning form (Tranmere excepted ) we can't be satisfied with draws now, unless we are playing other top sides..
-
Strictly speaking it's just another game bur recent results perhaps mean more than that. The league is never won in February and I fully expect us to get over this blip.
A win would give us nice warm feeling that we're back on track and it will stop panic setting in...amongst the fans that is!
The players will be up for it. Even to pro's it will make a difference being on TV. I hope Hume will give us our Mojo back.
-
You can't win anything in February but you can certainly lose plenty. Time to get the players' professional heads on. Hopefully the promise of new signings coming in will get them playing for their places again.
As I said, teams that want to get promoted have to win games like this at crunch time when it counts. Could be a defining game of the season this, to win and finally go top having had the chance to do so so many times this season could be the thing that really gets us going. The more I think about it the more I think we have to win.

And the more that I agree with you MM, a defining moment indeed shaping our season.

I'd take four points out of the two games,i think we will edge the Crawley game, and draw with Yeovil.
