OK select your prediction for Rovers v Yeovil on Saturday, just stating win, lose or draw.
Those with the correct forecasts get the chance to predict the outcome of the next match, and so on until we have a winner!
Seeing as it's my idea, I'll start!
Rovers will.........WIN
-
Win
-
Difficult as we don't know who will be back and any other add ons but ill stick my neck out and go with a......
win
-
Draw for me! But if it's a win I won't be at all disappointed to be knocked out!
:rtid:
-
Draw, but I hope it's a win
-
Rovers will batter Yeovil! WIN
-
Win :scarf:
-
Not a pessimist, but I honestly think we'll lose. It's Yeovil.
Though I hope the optimists win and go on to play the pragmatists in the semi-final.
-
I'll be the first negative, with no Hume or another striker as yet I cant see where the goals will come from, LOSE :crying:
-
Loss ............... sorry
-
Draw for me.
-
Match Postponed due to High Winds / Snow / Frost / Ice / Rain/ Sun Light.
2-0 Rovers.
WIN
-
Its Yeovil. We never beat Yeovil
-
I think the Corporal will have threatened to bite the slackers heads off if we lose.........
WIN
[/b]
-
I think the game will be called off.
-
I'm taking family to the game and for no greater reason than not looking forward to the conversation afterwards if we lose I am going Win.
-
Anyone else, even taking their run into account, I'd say draw erring towards win.
But bloody Yeovil.
-
Win, it's about time...
-
Hayter 1st goalscorer, Webster bullet header, Lee Johnson Messi-type goal Kevin bloody Gall with a couple and Terry Skiverton with an overhead kick to rub salt into the wounds.
Yeovil to win. :boxing:
-
Players coming back from injury, loan signings in. It's time we beat Yeovil. It's 4 games since we've had a win in the league.
Perhaps we're due a win.
Edit: I wouldn't put money on it though.
-
WIN
-
WIN.
Lundstram x2
-
DRAW :rtid:
-
To win we need another striker and midfield player so at the present LOSE. But that can change if one or two are fit or we bring in two more(experience if possible).
-
a narrow win then a few cheeky scoops in the ridgewood sat night.
-
F.A.O RedJ. Am I right in assuming you're going for Rovers to lose?
-
Draw for me, I can't see us beating them but there eight match winning streak has got to end
-
I am pessimistically optimistic
COYR
:scarf:
-
F.A.O RedJ. Am I right in assuming you're going for Rovers to lose?
Going for a draw or 2-1 defeat :(
-
looooooooooooooooooooooooooooose
-
looooooooooooooooooooooooooooose
Loose eh?? My granny swears by immodium!
:woot:
-
If Hume plays........win.
-
If Hume, Syers and Keegan come back in, it will be a much better contest.
I'll leave it there.
-
Their last League defeat was on Boxing Day. It's about time they lost one.
-
If hume plays a win
If he dont play a draw or defeat ,as yeovil factor as more strength
-
Win for Donny.
Hayter to get Sent Off!
Foley to Miss Kick "trying" to take a corner kick. (Trust me I've seen him do it previously for Newport)
-
So far;
Win; (14)
BB, RTR, dknward2, Bald Rover, Wardy 16, Wild Rover, Dearne Valley Rover, Streatham Dave, IDM, River Don, Soundbite army, Belle Vue popside, Ridgewood Rover, LincolnDonny. (51%)
Lose; (8)
MachoMadness, Exile Rover, Mika, drfcbenny625, Absolute drfc, Steve dcfd, RedJ, MJG. (30%)
Draw; (5)
Lincs Rover, Rover 19, Mutley Rover, Colin Cramb, Newcomer. (19%)
-
Obviously we'll be better placed to judge in a few days, perhaps after some sort of dream? a dead vivid one would be most helpful.
-
I'll say draw.
-
A much needed gritty win to kick us on. :scarf:
-
WIN
-
Really hope I am wrong, but I don't see anything else but a defeat.
-
WIN :rtid:
-
Would it help if we all did the Uri Geller orange spot thing?
-

My thoughts exactly.
-
Unfortunatley there on fire and we never beat them even when they arent on form so I cant see beyond a Yeovil win with them picking up points left right and centre.
We played them on the exact date 11 years ago at BV in a fourth round FA trophy match thay Yeovil won 5-4 and went on to win the trophy. I am not looking forward to it...

That said, we were the first side to beat Tranmere at Prenton Park for nigh on a year. Didn't we end someone else's run of some sort this season too?
-
Maybe, although I'm not sure but everything for me is pointing to a bad day for the Rovers. A) It's Yeovil B)They are on a good run. C) We are at home. D) It's Yeovil E)Hayter has netted 10 times for them this season in the league and Madden has found the back of the net 18 times so 28 goals from their 2 strikers after 32 games is a good return. F) It's Yeovil...
:coat:
EDIT: Just checked and Madden has scored 17 for the Glovers (one was for Carlisle) but he has done it in only 22 games which is very, very impressive...
-
I felt for a while we'd lose this fixture.
... So I'm going to say WIN!!! We've got to beat em sooner or later

Was that the game where we chucked away a 3-0 lead? I was there that day. Great, now I'll be bricking it even if we're battering them.
-
Indeed it was. I'm sure Mr. Mayfield remembers the half time scoreline that day for some reason too :P

For some reason I remembered us being 4-0 up, but now you mention it 3-0 sounds about right, as I say even when they were dire (both games in 2007 at KMS) we couldn't beat them so I don't fancy our chances. But hey fingers crossed...
-
They haven't played us with Rob Jones.
-
We haven't beat Yeovil since the 2003/2004 season (albeit that one was away).
I do like the look of that Lundstram kid though, and if we can get that Furman on board and get a few of our injuries sorted, then who knows?
Gonna go out on a limb, and say win!
PS, if we can do the glovers, I reckon we'll win the league! :scarf:
-
3 players back from injury, at least 1 signing think we will WIN 2-1.

Pessimists v Optimists Match Report
On paper looks to be a bit of a mis-match, however we asked both sides for their predictions and unsurprisingly everyone went for a score of Pessimists - 0 Optimists - 15.
The pessimists almost didn’t turn up as they didn’t think they had a chance and the optimists stopped off for a pint before the game as it was obviously gonna be soooooo easy.
The pessimists played a defensive 8-1-1 formation with the optimists opting for an adventurous 1-1-8 attacking line-up.
The first half was a bit of a scrum with all 22 players in one penalty area for long periods. At the break it was goal-less although the Pessimists thought that they had not done enough to get nil and the optimists just knew that it would all come good in the second half.
The Pessimists manager (Mr O’Driscoll) made some tactical changes and replaced his one forward player with a defensive midfielder, whereas the Optimists manager (Mr Ryan) went for broke and sacrificed his one man defence for a run-back goalie.
The second half adopted a similar pattern with the optimists appealing for 27 penalties, all of which were turned down by the referee Mr Kettle. The pessimists retreated that far back that they were all stood on the goal line but the optimists still could not force the ball over the line.
Final score Pessimists 0 – Optimists 0

LOL. I've seen plenty of games like that. Good work, Tonto.

Very True.
I just hope I'm not on the winning side!

Just 6 entrants (15%) predicted a draw, keeping them in the contest for Tuesday's visit to Shrewsbury.

I was so convinced of 1-1 draw I had £25 at 6/1! And would have given it all for a 2nd half winner! Thought we were going to do it but were unlucky, 2 open goals and a barn door penalty! Anyway, on to Shrewsbury -
I don't think it will be an easy game at all - saw Shrews on FL show and they showed some fight. Even so, I hope we've turned the corner and got our confidence back so going for a 2-1 WIN for Rovers. Come on!!
:rtid:
-
Can this be an ongoing thing from next season? or perhaps on a monthly basis? quite interesting really and a bit of fun.
-
Totally agree Lincs. On the back of that performance i too predict a 2-1 win.
-
Win
-
Win...
-
Win...
Nice try IDM, but unfortunately you're out! :headbang:
Even I don't qualify, and it wa' my idea! :(
-
Failiure to win on tues and we're all out by the looks lol
-
We all still in then?
-
Just 3 entrants left now, well done to Lincs Rover, Rover 19 and Spud.
Looking forward to seeing your forecasts for Saturdays visit of Hartlepool.
-
Am far too giddy to make any predictions just yet, other than it'll be tight and edgy again :S

Do any get a bye for predicting the actual score BB ?
-
Interesting idea Hoola, but the idea is to keep it nice and simple!
-
Have been really torn between draw and win for this one, we're playing as well as we have all season but finding goals hard to come by.
Hmmmm, we're gonna score first and WIN !!!
-
Win again
-
Just 3 entrants left now, well done to Lincs Rover, Rover 19 and Spud.
Looking forward to seeing your forecasts for Saturdays visit of Hartlepool.
I am very indecisive about Saturday and want to get carried away on the tide of excitement and expectation, but, having been a rovers fan for nearly all of my 48years I know we never do things easily! My first thought was a 2-0 win for rovers and I will put my money on it (being in front with good bets on 1-1 and 1-2 in last 2 matches!). However, my optimistic pessimism, combined with the way the table is going this year - every team that gets to the top automatically throws away the next game to surrender top - and that both Rover 19 & Spud have gone for a win I've decided to bow to my pessimistic side and go for a DRAW.
Having said that, I hope that Rover 19 and Spud are are correct and fight out the final in the Bournemouth game!!!!
Good luck boys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clapping:
:rtid:
-
Without wanting to Jinx us, i hope Bentley's got a plan should the unthinkable happen....
-
Let's not even think the unthinkable!!!
-
If the unthinkable happens and Rovers get rolled over, it'll be a roll-over! ;)
-
Nicely put :D
-
And then there were two.....
Unlucky LincsRover (that is if you call 3rd place unlucky!)
The last two remaining contestants, Rover 19, and Spud now go head to head in Tuesday's game at MK Dons to be the inaugural prediction champion!
Good luck guys!!!
-

I should have gone with my optimistic side but not in the least bit disappointed - as I said I would happily be out of this and settle for a win :woohoo:
:rtid:
Good luck to Rover 19 & Spud
-
Set the ball rolling for This week
Mk dons away....rovers win
Bournemouth away...rovers win
-
MK are a decent side whose luck is due to change. However as everything seems to be clicking for us at the minute i think they'll have to wait a little longer.
Rovers win.
-
Ill say draw on Tuesday
-
Well well well that was a shock to the system wasn't it!
All that and no outright winner.
Anyone interested in having another contest starting at Bournemouth on Saturday, or is the pain still too much to bare?
-
I won't be optimistic if Harper is playing.
-
Lol i think everyone will want to know if pointer is playing before committing :O)
-
Yeah I'm up for it only got though first round last time this time hope I don't
Rovers to lose
-
Yeah, after my 3rd place - I'm up for it! I'm afraid it's also a lose for me - can't see us improving enough to beat Bournemouth at their place after the debacle that was Tuesday night, esp with Jones, Syers, Keegan etc... all out!. As always would be over the moon if I'm wrong - a draw would be good!
And yes, if we find out if Harpers playing before we post it would make the decision 100% easier!
:rtid:
-
It's a WIN from me for the mighty Hoops. :rtid:
-
Heart win, head lose, gut DRAW.......That's me out then!
-
Draw
-
Heart win, head lose, gut DRAW.......That's me out then!
At least one part of your body will be right! :silly:
-
Win.
No reason other than it's a f**king long way to go to be a miserable t**t :P
-
If Donny win at Bournemouth I'll bear my butt cheeks on the centre circle next home game. The performance Rovers put in was as lifeless as the stadium they played in
-
I'm going, so the most optimistic I can be is - DRAW
-
I'm going to stick my neck out, back Flynn to find the solution and say WIN.
-
Draw
-
win :rtid:
-
Win for me
-
I was so disappointed watching us on Tuesday it's hard to expect anything other thana defeat.
Ever the optimist a DRAW. ;0) and I'll be there watching. :scarf:
-
Draw for me
-
Going with my head, Rovers lose.
-
Hartlepool were as crap a team as we'll see this season. We flattered ourselves.
As for Bournemouth. We are in BIG trouble. I usually back new managers - like I did Saunders - but every time I watch Rovers since our "first choice, plan A" turned up it's been pretty clueless stuff. I hope to god I'm wrong (again).
Bournemouth will chew Rovers up and spit them out.

Obviously I would have said win.
Once I knew Harper wasn't starting.

Bump ... Who from VSC can make the arrangments for this to happen. :P
I've got a strong stomach, but I'll take a bag just in case :chair:
-
Well done guys, a brave prediction after tuesday.
-
That post has already put me off my supper, however I do need to diet a liitle. (a lot)
-
Well I'm eating a huge slice of humble pie tonight well done rovers let's hope we can keep going and finish on top
-
This just put a bit of a smile on my face. Just the icing on the cake after an unexpected, but long trip darn sarf. Absolutely buzzing tonight, just hope we can really kick on.
-
Right Carlisle next up and I'm going for another WIN for the Hoops
-
It's another win for me
-
What else could I say apart from another WIN? I actually can't sleep because I've got such a good feeling about Rovers right now. I'm texting anyone who'll listen about how satisfying today was and how good it feels to be clear at the top. Tuesday can't come fast enough.
Another win and another game down on Tuesday. Cannot wait. Days like this remind you why you love Rovers.
-
It's a yes (win) from me! :coat:
