Title: Boozers in Sheffield
Post by: The Mighty Brian Rowe on April 07, 2013, 08:03:22 pm
Off round Sheff on Satdi from about 4pm with a few hours in the Leadmill in between.

Can anyone suggest any decent Boozers for a 40 odd year old bloke and his Missus?

Decent ale a must, and some decent music if at all possible. Can't get to Crewe so gonna have to celebrate from afar.

Cheers.

Chris

Sheffield Tap at the train station should satisfy all your needs for decent ale.

There's a place just across road from Sheff O2 and I can't remember what it's called ('The Graduate' I think) but that has decent ale and a decent jukebox. Also, there's one pretty similar just up from 'The Howard' called 'The Globe' (I think).

Definitley 'The Globe and 'The Graduate'

The Devonshire cat is another with loads of different ales lagers and ciders to try.

There's Dr. Brown's near the Crucible which is a decent pub - cheap too.

I used to go in The Globe years ago...it was the only pub I've ever been in where the door to the loo had to be pulled instead of pushed; a bit confusing when you've had a few and you walk straight into it because you forgot which way it opens!
