Hi Everyone,
I work for Doncaster Libraries and I've organised a two week Literary Festival for May.
Before you think Libraries=Yawn, have a look. There's less tumble weed in libraries then you might think.
This exciting new festival will showcase local talented authors, one of which is a Crime Writer from Mexborough, who used to work as an undercover policeman. A bookbinder, publisher, radio presenter from Donny's very own Sine FM, a playwright for all you budding actors out there and for the finale we have Roy Clarke of Open All Hours fame talking at the Doncaster Little Theatre; all the info is here http://library.doncaster.gov.uk/web/arena/literary-festival
If the events go well I thought I might even ask our very own John Ryan if he'd like to take part next year.
Thanks for your support
Jill

Donnylass, do you know Auntie Merge on the daggers forum? it may be beneficial to you both, I've took the liberty of posting a link on the Daggers forum so with a bit of luck Suzanne will pick it up and pm you as there doesn't seem to be a pm facility on the Daggers forum

Good luck, I can appreciate how much work that involves, given that I am currently trying to arrange an exhibition, a theatre production and write two articles at the moment. I have four themes I can give you talks on - none of which have any connection with Doncaster though I am afraid! Its fun when it all comes together though.
