Are now in the Blue Square after 3 straight promotions, we had a nice little rivalry with them back in the non league days, congratulations to all concerned there.
-
Always had a soft spot for Chester. Chairman put the club and fans through some painful times.
Also a great night out!

Do they still play at same ground

Still at the Deva and should Wrexham fail in the play-offs next month, then that will be local rivalry re-established!!
-
I'm really chuffed for their supporters and the club as a whole. Shit on, repeatedly, from a massive height. With the FA/FL nowhere in sight, as usual. They've done it the hard way. I hope they keep on going up the leagues a while yet.

Mark Wright's still a p***k tho'. Welcome back Chester.

Hopefully get to go back to the deva in a cup or something, i reckon you will still hear the echo's of "oh andy andy andy andy andy andy warrington" ;) :rtid:

pre season friendley perhaps

Good to hear, one of our biggest rivals in the Conference back on their feet. If you'd told me back when we had them in the playoffs where the two teams would be today and what they'd go through in that time I'd give the men in white coats a ring.

I wonder whether the tw@t that whinged about their failure to beat us in those semis (in the non-league paper) and wished us nothing but failure, is still about - I have no soft spot for Chester - they were a set of tw@ts then and they're probably a set of tw@ts now .... although being a tw@t isn't necessarily a bad thing!

Bloody hell, I remember that bloke. I think I still have that non-league paper somewhere... made the victory that much sweeter though!
Like I said, given how there wasn't that much difference in quality between us and them in the Conference, it's quite amazing the two completely different directions the two clubs have taken over the past 10 years.

From the non-League paper May 11 2003 - Mr P Carter: It's bad enough that we lost on penalties to Doncaster ....... Well thanks for nothing Doncaster, I hope you get relegated next season whatever division you are in - they say you get what is coming to you in the end ...
Scarborough, Chester & Boston (and Yeovil of course) - although I forgave Boston when they did the guard of honour thing for the team when we won the title at their place in that beautiful 0-0 draw.
-
What ever became of Farnborough? they seemed bloody good at one bit.
-
Two words. Graham and Westley.
-
Say no more. Absolute Kitson.
-
Stevenage never bothered me (apart from the fact that the b@stards sold us Carl Awful) - Westley couldn't wait to get back there after Preston dumped him - he begs to differ about Preston though: "Being sacked by Preston was a relief... I was hamstrung, I knew the answers to problems but I wasn't allowed to solve them" - so Rob you're right about Westley achieving tw@t status, but not really the p1sspot club he managed.
-
I think Rob is on about the fact Westley destroyed Farnborough, not his time with Stevenage.
-
To be fair I'd forgotten that he raped Farnborough before departing for Stevenage.... apologies

I saw Chester FC early on this season. It doesn't surprise me one bit that they've stormed the Conference North.
