Be surprised if it isn't related to North Korea somehow.

I'll be amazed if it is. Sovereign nations don't set off IEDs in trash cans like this.

I hate speculating usually but from what we know so far this sounds like either a small cell or a nutjob individual (thinking along the lines of the Unabomber or the Olympic Bomber). Either way, it is a horrifying, terrible event and I hope that we don't hear the body count rising as this goes on.

My thoughts and prayers are with everybody caught up in this.

I must have missed the thread about the 27 killed and over 100 injured in attacks in Iraq today.

Just seen a photo of a bloke being pushed in a wheelchair with the lower half of his left leg blown off. Shocking. Awful.

Terrible events. There are some sick b'stards in this world.

Let's hope it is just down to a fantastically twisted individual, what with London coming up.

I put Fox news on and the guy was saying the usual. We've seen this abroad but when it's here... Oh must be alright in Iraq then.

its not right anytime any place but u cant stop people who will go that far to carry out something like today as they dont care about their own lives in the first instance and most believe that when they die they are a matyr and as such they believe that they go to their idea of paradise. unfortunatly it will never change i just feel for people who get caught up in mainiacs ideology

Oslo

It's because it sells newspapers.

When good or bad things happen to Brits, they emphasise the British aspect. It's understandable, us being British...

As for the rest of the world, order of importance for the media is:

1) Americans. Almost as important as Brits.

2) Australia. Nowhere near as important as Americans but more important than the rest of the world.

3) Rest of the white countries in the commonwealth.

4) Europe.

5) Big countries in the rest of the world that folk might have heard about (China, Japan, Russia, Brazil etc)

6) Pakis (ie everyone else in Asia, but they have a shit quality of life so they don't care if hundreds of them get blown up or thousands killed in floods or earthquakes, so we don't really care about them either.)

7) Africa. ("What? 6 million people killed in wars in Congo since 1990? Ah, who gives a f***? They're just savages.)

It's obvious int it? Some people are less human than others.

What happened in Boston yesterday is a tragedy and an obscenity. But it is a pinprick in world terms. Yet we will once again be force fed a diet of American agony for days.

And that's before you reflect on the irony of Boston being the epicentre of fundraising for the IRA in the 70s and 80s...

When ever i think Of Boston before yesterday two things allways came to my mind.

1.....the tea party

2.....that that city raised dollar after dollar for the IRA,
And Now look what as happened to Their city.

Cruel Cruel world we live  in for sure
