Granero - who made his name at the glitzy Bernabeu in Madrid, could be heading to the likes of Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium and Bournemouth's Dean Court if he stays with QPR next season.

The paper has picked that up from match of the day 2. The commentator watching QPR and Reading said both will be playing at Bournemouth and Doncaster next year.

It's a great reminder to chairman and owners out there that you don't have to pay gizzillions of quid to compete in the higher reaches on the football pyramid. The more that play 'the likes of us' the better it is for the game as a whole.

They love it don't they, belittling clubs like ours?

I have eternally turned against MotD commentator Steve Wilson since he remarked of Matt Kilgallon (who he kept calling 'Kilgannon', the muppet) earlier in the season "he fell so out of favour here once that he went on loan to Doncaster!". Said in an incredulous, mocking tone.

I did suggest a new song to honour this a few years back for whenever we go ahead in the Championship;
