Title: IRWT

That is unless you jeopardise our chances of getting an FA representative game in the future. How to undo much great work at one fell swoop.

Aye it`s rung a Belle with me as well, "In Rovers We Trust" my arse, it seems they`d rather not upset the FA than back Doncaster`s Womens Team!

What have the Belles themselves said about all this?

What have the Belles themselves said about all this?

As they have lodged an appeal with the FA they cannot say anything.

Dave, you're making several assumptions here. As I've alluded to on more than one occasion things are happening in the background, it's just not for public consumption yet. And that's for several reasons, not least of which is that the appeals process has to run its course.

We, the FSF, have a meeting with the FA at Wembley today to discuss the issue.

To ridicule the club over IRWT is barmy, how can a fan engagement process be subject to criticism when it's about another football club?

Doncaster Rovers Belles, they carry our name, they play home games at our stadium, and are stewarded by our stewards, was n`t there mention of Sporting Club Doncaster by Gavin Baldwin himself, this goes against everything that a Sporting club stands for

Further to the above, whilst the Belles bear the name of the Rovers and wear the same colours, they are run independently as a separate entity. If the whole "sporting club" were to progress in the future that would be a slightly different matter. As SM says above, there are plenty of things going on in the background.

Speaking entirely independently, I would say that the protest could've been handled better but we are where we are now and lessons will have been learned by the club management and the matchday safety team they employ. A silver lining to this is that it seems to have been the spark to ignite press interest from the likes of The New Statesman and got Danny Baker with his huge twitter following on board.

It's not long ago that the Belles were appealing for aid to stay afloat (and received some from the VSC and supporters' club if I remember correctly). If the latest round of coverage gets under the skin of one or two wealthy and/or influential people it could help them in the long run. That said, it still shouldn't come at the cost of an unfairly enforced relegation!

Yes Dave, but your not connecting the right dots. Read my post again, as I said there is plenty happening in the background on behalf of the Belles and its supporters, notably by DRFC, the VSC, the FSF and others. To attack me or anyone else just doesn't inspire me to carry on. I wonder why I bother!!!

Martin, chill out, I have n`t attacked you, if I`ve had a pop at anyone it`s the club for authorising the confiscation of items that that are of no danger to anyone

I'm sure that the club's values are sincere. Let's suppose that behind the scenes Rovers were helping Belles by reassuring the FA that they would financially back the Belles in such a way as to ensure their future viability. This would be part of the appeal presentation . It would be a much more meaningful action than any action we fans could have achieved on Cup Final day. IRWT .

Yes Brian, that would certainly make sense.
