Title: Quiz Question
Post by: The L J Monk on May 31, 2013, 09:56:18 am
352 players competed in Euro 96.

By my calculations (which may be flawed), only 4 were still playing in the highest tier of a domestic competition during the 2012/13 season.

Who were the 4?

That is a belter!

No idea. When you say "competed in Euro 96" does that mean that had to set foot on the pitch or were simply in a squad? If the latter I'm going to chuck Phil Neville in there as guess #1

P Neville is correct - Everton

Fowler was in Oz a couple of years back. He seems to have played in Thailand for 2011/12, but hung up the boots for 2012/13.

P. Neville - Everton
A. Del Piero - Sydney
C. Seedorf - Botafogo
A. Nesta - Montreal

Looking through the archives I can also see one player from USA 94 still plying his trade in the top tier of a domestic league.

Who is he? (there may be more)

Edit - in fact there are two.

Fat Ronaldo retired many moons ago.

I'm going to hazard a guess and say that you missed the second question, relating to USA 94 - the cup of the world.

We're still looking for the mystery man...

lol,  i like to use the 'quite frankly rediculous yank way' of saying 'ive made a mistake',   in a totally ironic manner...  i welcome the response 'your bad what', as it highlights the fact that the english language is not only being dumbed down, its being royally fooked over!.. :-)

You are quite right Adam.  Having lived over here for the last 14 years I can confirm we are two nations separated by one language.

My biggest peeve is when, on the news, where you would expect decent grammar, all you get is kids, cops and info.

Therefore they grow up understanding that "cops are asking for info about the kids", is the proper way to speak, instead of ," the police are asking for information about the children".

They then wonder why these "KIDS" cannot spell  when  Pizza Hut  advertise " STUFT" crust pizzas.

Exactly, and yet I still have to explain to people why I choose to teach my daughter myself at home...

 Congratulations Orlaandokarla.

Mind you if your child is good at a sport, then get him/her to a school, that's something they DO spend money on.  Every school has an Athletic Dirrector and paid coaches for each sport.

If they spent a bit more on teachers and education it would be much better.

It was a typo he actually meant to type 'my Brad'' not 'my bad' and of course wins the prize ;)
Wtf is this ''my bad'' crap and where did it come from , it's a ridiculous expression ?
