I saw Prince William on the news this morning supporting the aim of getting all kids to learn to swim. He said, "Swimming is unique. It's the only sport that can save lives."
Aye?
As a left footer bairn walking past the Proddy schools in Denaby every morning, I found that running and feighting were life saving sports.

Your own fault for being a left footer.

Harry will do for me though ... he's a breath of fresh air in the otherwise cloistered world in which that family lives ( has to live) . That said .. as a bit of anorac myself for English history .. some of our monarchs remain amongst the greatest people of history and their work laid the foundations on which our country still rests today ... William1, Henry1, Henry 2... Elizabeth 1..
Just so this does not get relegated to' non football related '... the Vikings were at the foundations of two things which sustain us all today ... the English language(Old English) and Donny Rovers.
-
Nicely rescued, Brian.

Ah, but you must remember the compensations Billy, all them repressed and grateful catholic girls, Good looking types like me got to dip their wick on a regular basis.
Bit a stick from the proddys was well worth the effort!

:that: It's easy to slag them off but do we really think that many of these beautiful buildings we have would ever have been built otherwise.

Danum
Oh yes. The philosophy was that if you're going to spend an eternity being buggered by Lucifer for having a knee-trembler round the back of Mace's shop in Denaby, you might as well make it memorable.
Grainge. You've lost me. What does Prince Harry have to do with the Royal Family?

Billy, I spent a fair bit off time working in Denaby for Counci a few years backl - the woodlands way flats nearly kept one of us employed full time! its the only place where to engage with residents on a Doncaster wide scheme we had to get permission to got into the pubs to find people - Catholic Club was packed on any dinner time you could mention
