OK,
if you can't make it list your question here and if its good enough and clean enough I'll make sure that it gets asked.
-
Who will he bringing in to join his coaching staff
Is he Intrested in wellens
How many signings does he think we need
Has he money available to spend
What are his targets for the season
-
When does he expect to have sorted out the out of contract players?
Does he want to keep any of the players that weren't supposed to be retained?
-
Hi Paul. Do you like big target men or do you favour a "fox in the box"? Thanks.
-
How big squad size will we have this season
And are we having a reserve team
Thanks
-
If we have a resy /development side, would the club maybe let fans in to watch at cantley park or not? would it not be forsable due to staffing etc? maybe a small charge of £2 or something if 500 go and watch over a season it would add up. maybe help fund the resy's in some way.
-
I notice on the DROS piece that no existing players have been resigned because you wanted to speak to them face-to-face. I had presumed that Brian as DoF & Gavin as Chief Exc would be involved in signing players, as happens at many clubs. What is Brian's role going to be?
How important is it to you to 'get the fans onside'?
Do you take any notice of the fans opinions/views such as reading online forums?
What is your goal for DRFC next season?
-
How many people does he know that have turned down the blunts?
-
Is he going to expect his team to take the same approach in games as we've previously seen at other clubs or does he feel he's still evolving as a manager and will his style reflect the type of players that we have here?
-
Does he want to play more passing football or will he want to rely on smashing the long-ball and working on set pieces :coat:
-
Welcome Paul, you sit here as the new manager of Doncaster Rovers, is this your dream job?
How involved do you plan to be in the day-to-day running of the club?
Just a quick question, will you be a 'hands-on' coach or will you portray a more reserved manner?
one for the Football Manager fans ;)

-
1) How does Paul to respond to reports he has lost the dressing room after no wins and no goals since his appointment?
2) When was he last aroused and what was the trigger?
-
What main things did he learn while at Oldham that he can use taking doncaster forward in the championship?
-
Paul, where's the pen?
But on a serious note it'll be interesting to establish what his style of football will be and what he sees as the long term strategy ie is it youth development etc?

That will be me then ;)

SM,
Could you respectfully ask PD and the Board"Why did we release young Ball when we now have an U21 team where we could have assessed him fairly over a long period"
I remember a statement from the club where they said "he will get his chance" Personally I considered him the future and yet we released him, why?

Do you need a ticket for tonight? And has it sold out, would be able to make it now .

You need a ticket but it's free. I expect you'll still be able to reserve a seat if you give the ticket office a ring this afternoon.

Before becoming an employee of our amazing club, what was your opinion of Doncaster Rovers? I ask this because despite being the most successful club outside of the top flight for the best part of a generation, the media still disrespectfully refer to us as 'The likes of...'
How optimistic are you that the suggested signings that excited John Ryan so much will materialise?
-
Is he a scruncher or a folder?
-
Is he a scruncher or a folder?
that's a shit question.
-
How will you ensure our current (and future) players will be fit enough, and strong enough to play at Championship level for an entire season?
-
What is the current situation with Tommy Spurr?
-
What a load of old shite that was. Good job Gavin was there to give us some tangible information. Dickov has more soundbites than Saunders. Far too media savvy for his own good.

Did it maybe cross your mind that he didn't have any tangible information to tell you?
-
I thought he said what he could and came across well. Now to put it into practice but so far so good. The club seems to be running well and that's a huge positive.
-
Sheepskin Stu is always the same moan moan moan, I notice nobody else has come on here being negative like him.

He did say that words are empty, so he`s hardly trying to make soundbites
I`m not sure what people expected him to say, he could n`t really name any players we are speaking to
-
Anything mentioned about Lee Croft?

Yeah, he`s one of the supporter liaison officers :)

Just a couple of things.
Firstly, we always knew in his first public appearance he was going to try and be as amicable as possible and the stage was already set in terms of not giving anything away on the signings front. he did say though that he knows Richie Wellens very well and he is the calibre of player he wants to bring.
May be an element of saying things that we want to hear in terms of playing football on the deck etc. Also confirmed categorically that Rob Jones is his choice as captain and leader.
He's talking about bringing in 2 'assistants', assuming one will be Brian Horton.
Secondly, he did not scurry away once the formalities were over and he took the time to talk to a few people. He came across as very personable, very easy to talk to and gave me some confidence that teams will not be looking forward to their visits to the KM.
On the negative side, and only time will tell, he doesn't give the impression that he has a 'blueprint' in mind and will fit players in to that structure, but will try and mould together the best of what he can get.
I think he will have to learn as he goes and you wonder how he'll conduct himself under pressure. I get the feeling it could be shit or bust with him unless he takes counsel from those around him and counts to 10 before opening his mouth.
Overall, definitely more positive than negative and I'm sure we will get behind him and wish him all the best.
-
What is the strategy and targets with regard to the youth development? Does he see them getting given a chance this season?
-
Basically I get the impression that the 'development' squad will be Brian Flynn's baby. They have applied to join the Central League and I'm sure it will be a mixture of youth and first team bench warmers/returners from injury.
I'm sure if they think someone's good enough they will give them a chance.
-
Well, he's honest and hardworking. He was at great pains to make that point.
He wants to play good football on the grass, that's what we all like to see. He likes his sides to press from the front.
Except when you are forced to try something 'different' suggesting he will go direct if he feels it's worth trying.
-
On the stadium front, we could see clearly the pitch has been 'reseeded' again and after only a week there is a good covering of grass. Baldwin emphasised the advice they'd taken from the FA and have invested and additional £30k to potentially be one of the best pitches in the country.
The concourse improvements start one Monday and Lindley's are still in negotiations about supplies so, it appears the choice of ale is still up in the air. He tried to emphasise that they were looking for the best deal so that the best price could be offered to us. Not convinced we'll see the back of Carlsberg just yet!!

On the blueprint thing - I'd rather that than have a system and then only sign people who fit into that system potentially turning away quality players or the steel we might need if they don't fit, a la O'Driscoll with McArthur, McCarthy, Adam etc.
-
Enjoyed last night but 2 things wound me up a bit. First was someone bringing Mckay up....will we ever forget this?
The other was the bloke having a go about Jordon Ball. PD said he hasnt seen him play...bloke replies 'thought you came to watch us 4 times'.
What a stupid comment when ball never played!
-
Thought he was a bit non-committal on the crucial question regarding Billy Bremner making the pitch smaller though!!!!!!!!
-
It was quite funny. When Dickov retorted "It's not my fault!" as if to say "Do wanna start son !"
