Here we go... Triallists spotting season starts today.
-
I shall be hitting F5 frantically whilst at work!
-
The Lucky Pint - it's like it's never been away.
-
@liamhodenDFP: Six trialists for Rovers in total for Rovers at Frickley tonight #drfc
Let the guessing games begin
-
Liam Hoden@liamhodenDFP3m
Rovers team (1st half): Sullivan, Binns, Jones, trialist, Husband, trialist, Harper, Keegan, Bennett, trailist, Brown #drfc
-
Paul Quinn playing the second half

Strange kit were playing in. Red with white shoulders. Like 1987.
-
AH, the return of Harper. At least he's got new faces to point at ;)
-
Liam Hoden@liamhodenDFP44s
Luke McCullough and Danny Philliskirk are both playing for Rovers #drfc
-
Liam Hoden@liamhodenDFP12s
No Furman, no Forrester but Paul Quinn will play in second half #drfc
-
I would have thought Furman might be having an extended break. He only finished international duty a few weeks back.
-
Hartlepool United scout stood next to me. Trying to snatch a look at his notes....
-
Will any of the trialists be recognisable Rob?
-
Watching Harper I hope.
-
0-1 Keegan
Don't recognise any of the 3 triallists. One is playing I. The hole, one right mid and one in defence.
-
Keegan nearly gets his 2nd with a 20 yard rising drive.
The lad in the hole has just been called Paddy. It's definitely not Padi Wilson, thankfully.
-
get some pictures of them and we can start guessing!

Paddy MCcourt?
-
Paddy McGuinness? - Let the ball see the goal!
-
Liam Hoden@liamhodenDFP1m
Sources tell me the third trialist is Chris Gadi - former Marseille forward. Not 100 per cent certain on this #drfc
-
Luke McCullough man utd youth player, defender on loan at Cheltenham last season

Could just be Irish

Rumour on the terrace is that someone with a double barrelled name is here on trial, as browny makes it 2.-0 to the rovers.
-
2-0 Brown

Big up Harper will you?
COYR
-
Harper is having a decent game. I think he's found his level. Rovers have a third disallowed for offside.

Please don't tell me Amari Morgan- Smith is on trial again :headbang:
-
If I remember rightly he had a good pre-season last year, but went backwards after that!

Quins warming up, along with De val and the tall blonde goalie
-
Brown gets the 3rd after Husbands curling effort is parried by the keeper.
-
3-0 Brown
COYR
-
The keeper looks like De Gea. Tall, skinny.
-
H/t 3-0
One sided as you would expect
-
Keeper is rob lainton ps Gadi is quick!
-
Gadi the Spanish kid?
Rumour here of a Barca B player on trial. There is a lad with a comedy beard and a tan.
Just watched De Val in the 2 touch warm up and his first touch is superb. Always under control. Looking forward to this 2nd half.
-
keeper from Bolton apparently
-
Liam Hoden@liamhodenDFP30s
Second half team: Trialist, Quinn, trialist, Wakefield, Spurr, trialist, Fernandez, Middleton, Cotterill, Syers, Paynter #drfc
-
@Rob Gadi is French. So says Wikipedia.
-
Gadi ex marseille is mvoto the big lad at back?
-
Sanchez payne (leeds) being suggested as possible trialist on twitter. As I'm not at match have no idea who is playing but just sharing
-
Yep, that's the name here. Little, fast. Right sided.
-
Syers makes it 4-0 but didn't know much about it.
-
De Val and Payne standing out. De Val reminds me of Wellens. Always available for the ball.
-
Young Harry Middleton having a good game centre midish.
-
Very true nice one.
All over. 4-0. Very one sided, the blonde keeper had 3 touches I think.
-
How was the style of play?
-
Patient. Lots of touches. Used the width a lot, especially first half with Kyle and Husband overlapping each other on the left.
-
Does anybody know what the attendance was?
-
650ish
-
Frickley's website reports the gate as 703.
-
Thanks Rob and Alonzo
