Isn't that Monaco? Been to the Monaco stadium a few times but never seen it from that angle! Just think I recognise the arches on the left?
Had a couple of glasses of Shiraz though so could be like the well known Native American - talking b*ll*cks!
:rtid:

La Bombonera
I always think it looks like they haven't got around to finishing off that last side yet.

Isn't the strangest stadium Bragas? Where one end is a mountain

Like Oxford United's place?
-
the strangest staduim is oakwell as it always looks like just one big family from the same gene pool are in their home end.
-
And. The strange clapping noise from 6 fingered natives
-
La Bombonera, good place to get mugged if you stray off round the side streets away from the tourist part. (Or get your shoes stolen if you're BST.)

On the question of stadiums .. I see that after the alterations necessary to accomodate West Ham and athletics the Olympic stadium will have cost £600 million of taxpayers money .

It's a disgrace isn't it. The move by West Ham is to suit their owners and their pockets rather than the supporters. A bit like the Man City move to the commonwealth games stadium at taxpayers expense which benefited other rich owners.

Worth a look if you've never seen it - the mountain and the cables, stunning I think :)

£600 million of tax payers' money And Seb Coe this morning said the deal with West Ham was with a view to some financial pay back.. well they should charge the normal market interrest rates then which would leave West am to pay £24 million p.a.I bet they will pay nothing like that.

Any guesses?
-
Doncaster O'Rovers new ground in Dublin?

Used to be great for time wasting there .... clog the ball out on the side without the stand and watch the little ball boys take forever to get the ball back
Much better watching Yorkshire CCC play there though as I did many times including v Lanky Lanky Lankyshire in the last ever County Match there
Still have the Scorecard with Boycott Bairstow AND our own Chris Balderstone et al - Priceless - OK 50P on E-Bay probably

Great bit of history for the under 50s ....
TIP ...Don't get bored with the top bit and scroll down for some great photos of how it was AND a picture of the Score Card with Boycs on 145 batting just one above Balders at 6 !
My Scorecard is unmarked and so must have doubled in price to a quid now !

Now come full circle as this must be the strangest Ground in the world

What about Blackpool when they had only two stands plus the temporary away end?
-
La Bombonera

Not really, that has individual stands, there are plenty of smaller grounds with stands of different sizes that don't fully encircle the ground.
Bombonera is a huge bowl like Nou Camp with a side missing.
I suppose the closest we had was when Stamford Bridge had an open end where they appeared to be selling second hand cars.
