Title: Deano's Dive
Post by: ditch_drfc on October 07, 2013, 02:13:52 pm
Anyone else see Furman do a massive dive on Saturday? Was pretty embarrassing, in our own half and no need to do it. Don't really want to be seeing that again...

Not as artistic as their player in the box, a blatant yellow card!

Definitely don't want any of that at Rovers.

Leicester were desperate for their mandatory penalty as the game went on, fortunately the ref had obviously seen their previous games and wouldn't give one.

........... actually a good set of officials for a change

Unless it's in the box and we get a penalty to win the game.

No, no thank you.  It is that win or bust the end justifying the means attitude that leads to the diving in the first place. It is cheating, and I hope we are better than that.

I take it you see it as 'all part of the game' then, given the 'laughing face'?

It's cheating, it annoys the hell out of me & I wish referees would be given the 'powers' to straight red card the offenders....that goes for Rovers players too.

Definitely not. What is a few extra points against the stain on your reputation. We are feyters, not divers.

Me as well Colin,i hate that it has spread through our game like a plague, even our players do it,one of the worst things is when the co-commentator says they have felt contact so they have the right to go down, that they were clever and bought the penalty is another one,the reason for the smiling face is because it will never change now,so instead of getting worked up about it,i laugh and shake my head.
