Title: Reading - transfer embargo?
Post by: silent majority on October 07, 2013, 05:52:34 pm
OK a little bit of 2+2 here, but in answer to those people wondering what happened to the Billy Sharp transfer to Reading may be intrigued by the following;

There are a few other articles which also point to Reading having 'liquidity' problems.

They don't get all that at once Wilts, my understanding is this years has already gone and they're trying to get advanced payments to keep going.

But Sharp did sign for Reading didn't he? I'm sure when I was driving to the Keepmoat for the Burnley game on Tuesday they were saying he was on the bench for them against Barnsley.

I was thinking much the same. He played, didn't he? If only for a few minutes. But he currently has a sore groin, picked up whilst training.

Or I have stepped into a parallel universe?

He came on after 87 minutes, replacing Adam Le Fondre. He missed the game on Saturday due to a groin strain.

Hoping to get him fit ready for our game.

I think we can get something from the game, Reading may have quality but they aren't pulling up any trees atm
