We haven't done too badly with him in charge. He took charge of us two games in a row. The play off final win over Leeds and then the opening day win at Derby.

Inconsistent performance. He probably did more to upset Reading fans than Rovers. He did try and keep the game moving but inconsistent decisions have always been one of his biggest faults. Didn't give out a number of yellow cards when he could, he then booked Wellens for deliberate handball when it was smashed at him from close range.

I thought the Wellens booking was for dissent. He gave the free kick, spoke to Wellens, who then ran away, organised the free kick - and then called Wellens back to book him. But agree with your overall assessment 1879.

Thought he was ok. Largely kept out of game. Nowt really to complain about too much. Linos ok n'all. Had lot worse.
