Title: what happened to
Post by: Tiddysdad on October 16, 2013, 08:03:02 pm: 17 year old Mark Wilson from Australia, who saved up to £1500 to come to England to play professional football, after having trials with Rovers?

I can remember it being in the news in late 80's but not what happened.

But if a said player came from any european Nation or Australia there is no ,way all and sundry would have missed it

It was this article I found when looking for info after an argument in the pub over Craig Johnstone and if he paid to come over and try out for liverpool. I said that someone had done the same to try out for Donny. I'd got a recollection of him being ozzie and he'd paid his way. it was this article that gave me his name when trying to find proof to show friends. I thought someone would be able to tell me if he made it.
