Need to add a CB to the LB and CF loan list then. Squad is starting to look bare.

gutting for Rob.

:that: think the defence needs strengthening first with the loan market because we can afford to wait a bit to see what's happening with Macheda because we still have Brown, Theo and Billy.

Looks like we'll need two defenders in on loan. If it is a clean break then Jones may not be out for too long. As we've seen with Husband, a dislocated shoulder is much worse because of the ligament damage.

We have Luke McCoulough to come in and take his chance

Could be a bit of a blessing if we get a decent replacement in.

Do we need to loan defenders - what about our reserves isn't that what they are for ?
We have both McCullock and Wakefield at CB. How have they been playing in the reserve games does anyone know cos the idea was that the games would ensure that they were ready when needed.

He may be tempted to give McCullough his chance but I'm guessing he doesn't think Wakefield is good enough for the first team yet because he hasn't been anywhere near the first team squad this season. The reserve team is also there to give them a bit of experience and so they are playing regular just because they may play regular for the reserves doesn't mean they are ready to step straight into the first team.

There is always Quinn to CB as an option, alongside Khumalo. He played there for Motherwell I think.

If Wakefield or Mcullough are not ready , then Wabara to right back and bring in a loan LB. I don't know if Finnigan is ready or not, so I expect we will try to bring in at least 1 before next time out.

Not necessarilly saying this is what PD should do, just an option to consider. I assume McCombe is still well short of resuming.

Apparently the goalpost is having an X-ray and is expected to be out for the rest of the season.

I was talking to a Reading fan on the way out and he said he could see his arm was snapped. When he went off, my 5-year-old lad said, "Who is going to head the ball now?"

They seem to have taken that tweet down, although it does say on DROS that Jones has confirmed that his arm isn't broken. He could still be out for a week or two though.

If Rob Jones is so hard, why did he go off with a non-broken arm?

It took somewhere in the region of 12 blokes in flurescent jackets to make him go off!

Any updates on Jones?

The ambulance took nearly twenty minutes to get to the ground. It was arriving just on full time.

I thought ambulances are supposed to be at the ground, I seem to remember we had the start delayed a couple of seasons ago because the ambulance wasn't there

Aye. An he walked from Reading to DRI after the match. Wi His togger boots on. Up the M1.

AND, he had a pasta carbonara at Leicester Forest. Which makes him f**king nails, cos last time I had one, it tasted like a blend of simian vomit and canine excreta.
