The Football League are giving each club chance to vote for your club's favorite captain, player, manager and season. Currently Dave Penney is leading SOD for the title of best manager.
Sadly Brian Flynn doesn't appear on there...

EDIT: I see it has been running for some time now, but I've not seen it before, so apologies if this is 'old' news...

I wouldn't disagree with it because he probably is, but I don't understand how people can vote for Jeffrey as our greatest player when in all likelihood the vast majority of the voters will never have seen him play.

I don't think you have to have been alive at the time a player was playing to say if they are your greatest ever player. This isn't asking "who is the most talented" or "who is the fastest" it is asking greatest ever player which relates to folklore, legend, status etc among fans - obviously this will be linked to their individual contribution but is not just about that.
There is some lazy twaddle in there though. Clearly couldn't be arsed to go beyond last few years for first question. Where is Paul Todd? Where is Ian Snodin? Lazy.
Interesting facts at end though. In all our many years in the Football League we have played the following clubs the most in league games. Understandably, like us for most of our existence, they are clubs who have spent their history at the shit end of the professional game:
102 - Lincoln City
96 - Rochdale
94 - Darlington
94 - Hartlepool United
84 - Crewe Alexandra
-
We have used exactly 1000 players in our league history - almost half of them under Richardson.

Nope. Lost me on the first question.
Who is the greatest Doncaster Rovers captain?
Rob Jones
Graeme Lee
Stephen Foster.
That reeks of "Ahh, f**k it, I cannot be arsed to research this in any detail. Who was Donny's captain last few times they won owt? They'll f**king do."
Why do they bother with this sort of b*llocks? If you're going to make an effort, make a f**king effort. If you can't be arsed, don't f**king pretend you can.

The FL125 best captain voting shortlists were compiled from data submitted by Football League clubs, which was collected from fans through social media. Supporters were asked to submit their suggestions by interacting with their respective clubs through Twitter, using #FL125 and #OurBestCaptain.
Oh dear #askingfortroublewiththenumptiesonthere

Couldn't agree more.
Completely amateurish.

To be fair, you can't expect them to have a detailed knowledge of all the league clubs. They asked the fans and this is how the fans have responded.

I got nine out of ten on the quiz!
