I wonder what would be more likely to scare off the trick-or-treaters tonight? A Kitson mask or a Jimmy Savile one?

PAH! Trick or treating... IT'S BEGGING I TELL THA'!!

Just another american fad that came across the Atlantic, like Blame/Claim culture, All you can eat, and school Proms. I mean Schools proms! What's THAT all about!?? Big car hires and suits and prom dresses... What was wrong with the typical shitty end of year disco where you could smuggle in 20-20 to drink, listen to Rick Astleys' classics and work towards getting a cheeky finger in behind the bins

Good point.
But it is actually  Scottish Invention, taken to Canada, which drifted to America , then back over here!

In Thorne we never got as far as fingering behind the bins. If you were lucky you titted them up.

Well I bloody loathe Halloween. I upset Alex every single year when I refuse to buy any stupid, badly made over priced tat for him to wear and then refuse to buy 30 tons of sweets to give to other beggars who irritate the hell out of me. It might have been invented in Scotland, but it's American through and through these days. It should stay there.

Jonny: top post mate. Agree entirely.
