According to Goodwin.
What the f**ks going on? Very worried that the man who can see light in dark at DRFC was close to jacking it in. Worried.
-
Why? It's not like he hasn't threatened several times before - and even gone ahead with it whilst we were in the Conference.
-
Sounds to me like some ones thrown the teddy out
-
Maybe it's to do with the DW and TB but could also to do with alot of the rubbish alot of fans come out with

I'm glad you're so relaxed about it Jenny, but I'm certainly not.
(Assuming it's true, that is).
-
What JR needs to get his head round is that when he invited TB and DW on board and relinquished control of the club, he then doesn't have carte blanche to do as he pleases. If he didn't want that he should have never invited them in the first place
-
As George Harrison once said, All Things Must Pass.
Go now or stay another 15 years, JR will ALWAYS be remembered as the man who saved DRFC, and brought us the success of recent times.
-
According to doncasterrovers.co.uk (ie the unofficial site) JR is annoyed that the latest talks with Sequentia went ahead without his knowledge.
Now why would that be? Because the other two know he is in favour of a takeover deal/outside investment? Why would JR not know the talks were going ahead?
He is also apparently unhappy at the plans to take over the Rugby Club as well as he wants to spend the money on improving the football squad. Once again from DRFC.co.uk

That DFP article.
Four consecutive paragraphs stating that something "is understood/thought" to have happened/be about to happen/be possibly about to happen. No indication whatsoever about who understands or thinks these things.
So, the headline and the first paragraph state that Ryan's leaving may be a distinct possibility, and that there IS a boardroom fallout. But there is no evidence given for this other than things that are understood or thought to be the case. Not even the old standby of "a source close to the club understands..."
Now, it may well be that Ryan has given these suggestions off the record to Goodwin. I don't know. And neither can any other reader know from the information given in the article.
File under "Speculation unless and until evidence emerges".

Would like a official statement for once?
-
“We have not received any formal response from any group interested in investing in Doncaster Rovers. If and when we do, the board will consider each offer on its merit.”
How's that?
:rtid:
-
Formal = on paper I suppose, (and why "Response", did KM2 contact SC),so, maybe word of mouth one to test the waters with KM2.
-
The use of that word 'formal' is massively important.
if it had said:
"We have not received any response from any group interested in..."
it would mean a MASSIVE difference to what was actually said:
"We have not received any formal response from any group interested in..."
So, it's blindingly obvious then, that, unless someone has made up the whole thing, there have been 'informal' response or responses.
Talks do seem to be taking place.

I Heard the reason the fire failed, was at the Last minute Uncle Ken spotted an Old Flame in the Tea bar :woot:
-
Who's Ken Richards?
-
Ryan threatened to leave the club in a phone conversation I had with him after he was upset I criticised the club shop after an abysmal experience I had there when trying to buy some Rovers stuff.
So, nothing new here then. That's how petty he can be.
