Title: DROS statement
Post by: Chris Black come back on November 10, 2013, 08:52:21 am
I know they are trying to remain above this fray and offer a neutral line, but the statement on DROS about JR sounds like a junior member of the groundstaff has left. The guy is the single most important figure in the entire history of our club and we get a vaguely grudging statement a couple of lines long!

What are the club supposed to say?

JR chose to announce his decision at 2.45ish on a Saturday, just before a match.
I don't know who writes the news items but probably fewer work on a Saturday than on week days. Any piece then written will have to be authorised then vetted by senior management and directors to be sure that it accurately reflects the position of the club.
I'd rather wait and have a well written accurate article than something that is pulled to pieces by critics and divides the fan base even further.

Ok, I will wait for a better prepared response from the club to a man who has put more into this club than any other on Monday.
Somehow I don't think it will happen.
