Title: Less than 24 hours...
Post by: IDM on November 10, 2013, 09:48:53 am
Since JR resigned and I'm tired to f**k of all the arguments and nitpicking point scoring between posters on here.

I quote my post of yesterday:

"When I began watching Rovers regularly, in 1980/81 I knew about our manager because he was famous.  I had no idea who the board members nor chairman were.

Much the same until the Richardson era, I cared little about the boardroom.  And, as long as they aren't going to do a Portsmouth or Coventry, I'm nbt really that bothered now!  Sure JR has been the saviour of the club, and TB/DW have ploughed in millions too, but we may have to move on?

We move on with managers, and players, so why not the board too?

Whatever happens, in another 10/15 years I'll still be watching the football, as and when I can afford it and have the time, regardless of what division we're in."

Everyone's getting bogged down with who said what, who's to blame, and who's to gain.  And I for one am rapidly losing interest.

Is it too simplistic just to want to turn up at the stadiums and watch the football???

My thoughts today on DRFC?  How to get 3 points in the next game...

FFS there are more important things in life than football!  Think about that at 11 am today!

Great post. And that's why so many of us are getting disenchanted with the game. It all revolves around money, those who have it, those who don't and the behaviour of all of them. What do you think this latest episode will have done to address that. Calling all Rovers supporters to observe a truce at 11am and only discuss team  matters from then on until the club announce any further news.

In Germany supporters of the club have the majority of shares in the club. It is a safeguard, if only it were like that here.
