Personally I think it's a bit silly having two supporters groups, and I think it would be better if they were brought together to form one supporters organisation. Just my opinion.
I know some will want to explain all the differences between a supporters club and a supporters co-operative and why it's irreconcilable but I'm sure there isn't really anything that couldn't be overcome.

As far as I'm concerned the supporters club were conspicous by their absence during the Richardson regime. If they'd been more pro-active there were would have been no need for SaveTheRovers or Rifa. Things may have changed in the years since but if it all goes tits up I know where the energy, ideas and impetus will come from. If it doesn't go wrong then I'm sure you'll all still keep whining about how shit the VSC is, but things got so bad so quickly because we weren't organised (something Brighton fans will testify too) and there were only a few individuals doing anything about it.

Can you point me to the section in the aims and objectives of the VSC where it states protecting the club.

I've never been very pro-VSC (sorry!) but I must live in a cave as I had no idea people were this bitter about it all. Maybe JR's resignation has had the very effect it was intended to have...

Honestly, some of threads on here are so petty and spiteful it beggars belief. The VSC came about as a group of supporters with a set of guidelines and principles that would work for and with the club for the benefit of the club.

My message to all VSC directors is that they have done the right thing with regards to this whole sorry charade.

It's all too easy these days to snipe from the sidelines.
It takes a bigger person to give their time and put their energy into something for little reward. The VSC directors have my full support too.

I've just read the Facebook page and I think that it'S pathetic in the main.
What's worse is that one poster shares my name, I would be a lot happier if he sported a picture rather than a badge.
At least then people might not associate any of his comments with me. :)
Keep up the good work. At least any mistakes that the VSC make are honest mistakes.

Thanks all. Knowing we have your support reassures us we are doing the right thing.
But, in all honesty without our members and your support throughout the years this wouldn't be possible so pat yourselves on the back.

I believe the VSC has stood up for the principles it was set up for, maybe a lot of the posters were nota round in the dark dark days

The VSC are here to ask questions of whoever is running the club as to whether or not it is in the best interest of those supporters.
That's my take on it anyway. You might belong one, both or neither depending on your view or level of interest/activity. Not quite sure what the role of the facebook group is, perhaps someone can enlighten me?

A single organisation could manage both those roles without any conflict of interest. I just think a single organisation would have a bigger membership a stronger voice and be able to offer more for supporters.

To the vsc i say well done so far-keep up the good work for and on behalf of all DRFC supporters .
I have been a one-club supporter for 55 years ,through all good & bad times and it breaks my heart now to see /hear all this board room "in fighting " which can only do harm to the club i love .
A club is not about directors or boardroom squabbles -a club is the "heart & soul " of the supporters and the community that it represents -please can we have our "heart & soul " back asap .
