Great to meet Draytonian today

I really enjoyed the Oval - a good old fashioned ground with plenty of terrace standing - actually reminded me a bit of Belle Vue but with a truly brilliant iconic backdrop of the Belfast Harland and Wolfe dockyards and the two huge gantry cranes.

The match (0-0) was full of honest endeavour if a little short on true quality. Good atmosphere and Glentoran is a club with very strong links with the local community - in short everything the Premiership is not. I know which I enjoy more, and I will certainly be back.

I went down to see our friends at York City. Interesting game and was reminded of why I'm glad to be exactly where we are. When you watch the quality I saw today then you will be glad too!

Guy Branston and the likes in League Two I do not miss

Some of League One games last season were absolutely dire. A lot of that dross came from us mind but a very poor standard all round. Don't particularly go back there in a hurry.

The game got called off then rearranged vs Frickley, the Wife roped me into Christmas Shopping so had to give it a miss.

The games I've been to are exactly what you hope for if I'm honest, was at Frickley away other week; got ticket, cheeseburger and a drink and change from a tenner. About 150 of us but made a hell of a racket for 90 mins, non-stop singing, 2 red cards, Frickleys manager had to be dragged away by his coaching team and FC came from behind to win 2-1.

I'm a big admirer of everything that club does, great ownership model, great atmosphere and a great general feeling of football being our game again.

Make that Donny TOP V Esher (3rd) now !

19-11 and a very good watch

PS I have discovered they have s*** Officials at Rugby too now - yesterdays were greeted with derision at Half Time and even Full Time despite the fact that the Knights won

They DO go mad for that Cow Pie for sure - but I stick to Chicken Curry and Chips for £3 - you get a lot for that price and the quality cannot be faulted

Then a few pints of Tetleys, Tetleys Gold or one of the 2 Glentworth guest Bitters all very nice

I'd not been on my FIFA 13 season for about 3-4 months, currently lying in the relegation zone with DRFC  drew last minute with QPR and lost last minute to Chelski, beat Southampton, not going well :( limited funds. Got offered the Hamburg job but declined.

Very eventful day!
