Let's be 'avin you!
0-2 Rovers (Macheda 2)
-
Thinking a draw 2-2 after going 2-0 up we get pegged back and while trying to hang on we get a sucker punch about 92 mins
Hope we win though rtid
-
@liamhodenDFP: Rovers to face Charlton: Turnbull, Quinn, Khumalo, McCullough, Wabara, Coppinger, Wellens, De Val, Duffy, Macheda, Paynter #drfc
Hope Paynter grabs his chance!
-
Interesting line up. De val is a bit of an unknown (and will be to Charlton) and Billy will be looking to cement his place.
-
Liking the changes too, not that we had much choice. Copps for Cotterill is a good move. Also nice to see the 442 return too. Hope Paynter and Macheda can link up well
-
Is our luck about to change for the better?
Charlton Athletic FC@CAFCofficial1m
Ben Hamer is currently receiving treatment for an injury suffered in the warm-up. We'll keep you informed of any develoments. #cafc
Hamer is the Charlton 'keeper.

Was just about to post. Hopefully he won't be able to play.
Just had a quick look on their forum, they're calling it a must win game a bit like we we're Friday night. Also they've gone 4-4-2 also can see plenty of goals tonight
-
Ben Alnwick will keep goal- Hamer is out injured.
-
listening on 5 live sports extra...
-
Church just missed a sitter.

Alnwick & Woods reunion!
Quick - get Browny in the commentary box
-
biased commentary :(
-
RS calling Hamer as Charlton keeper.
-
Player on now
-
Player on now
Not getting anything from Rovers Player only the very biased Charlton comm. team.
-
De Val very quiet
-
150 Donny there?

BBC London is feeding the 5 live extra commentary, hence the Charlton bias - not so much in reporting the action, more in talking about the players etc..
-
Not in the game yet
-
Kermogant hits the post, and Turnbull makes a good save.
We need to hold on during this spell then get into the game..

Gripping game by the look of that... only one bothering to watch.
-
Sounds like we're getting a bit of a seeing to at the moment
-
All over us the bloody defense is awful and midfield non existent
-
Come on we need to be testing this keeper
-
Had enough of cockney FM, now going with player
-
Charlton commentary is wonderfully pesimistic
-
Sounds like we're getting more into the game, despite the local bias on the commentary.
-
f**k
-
Loved the Charlton commentary last time round :) The woman was class.
Just sent in a complaint about the Sports Extra commentary being too Charlton focused. I apreciate its from Radio London, and great they have it on at all, but still, not the right quality for BBC.
Pooooo :(
-
Shit :(
-
it was bound to happen
-
Sod's law isn't it?
-
De Val doesn't sound to be having a good game, Woods anyone?
-
We're letting Alnwick get cold - he'll be pummelled in the last 10 mins :woot:
-
Sounds like wabara is having a cracking game again.
-
Because Charlton have created 5 chances they could have scored 5... d'oh!
-
Wabara clears and they score! sone clearance that must have been
After traveling down there the last time I feel sick listening to this :suicide:
-
Can only get better! Sounds like we've been well stuffed in 1st half
-

Well it would if you're listening to the BBC cos all they've f**king spoken about's Charlton.
-
Not quite. First 25-30 mins under the cosh, then getting back into it and creating chances before Charlton scored, followed by a couple of chances to equalise.
I'd say we're still in this one....
-
Cracking goal, not much you can do about those.
-
Don't panic. Looking at the BBC stats it looks like a pretty even game
-

Goal just been on sky is was an headed clearance by Khumalo and was volleyed back in from 25yards.
-
It's only one Nil. We still have a couple of players getting adjusted to the game in De Val and Paynter. Keep it to the same score 60 mins in and I'm sure we'll get some chances with the home team not knowing whether to stick or twist.
Of course I'm being optimistic but what the hell, it's a game of football !

We've lost every game we've gone behind in this season. time to change it!!
-
Getting down the right hand side everytime again, Dickov need's to get a LB in before Thursday
-

Let's hope he is given the money to bring in a centre half( needed for 4 weeks and left back.(needed for three weeks).
-
As Glen said on the commentary, being sharper on releasing the ball is key - and he reckons we're doing that better this half. Last Friday we played a lot of the game like we had dementia. This team really can do better.
-
Kitsonflaps :(
-
They think it's all over it is now.
-
Game over.
-
Just when we were getting on top of them :chair:
-
It was always going to happen the minute the first game was abandoned :(
-
Red,
Sky Sports a News says we have been 'very disappointing, very poor and have not threatened'
-
we really are going to struggle this season, losing & playing pooly
-
Newsflash. Wabara stops Charlton player getting round him. By giving away a foul !!
-
Have we got 11 on?
Sub. Robinson for Paynter. Now they're in trouble !!!
-
Stop the game now, we're getting a battering!
-
Woodwork is our best player
-
Listening to commentary on radio sheff.one way traffic .would appear to be same old story with players we have available. Wabara getting easily beaten and charlton have spotted this.no shots on goal from us. Turnball having a blinder.after recent performance desperate measures needed to strengthen the team.even our most ardent optimists can't be happy.
-
you expect a goal every time they go forward
-
We are desperately lacking a leader on the pitch
-
Don't panic... there's a huge black cloud over the ground about to drop it's contents on the pitch
-
Have we had a shot yet?
-
a few, and a few headers but not really tested their keeper...
-
Peterson coming on tell me he's a left back?
-
It's a struggle isn't it?
It's nights like tonight I doubt Dickov's the right man sometimes. But, we've a lot of players out I guess....
-
Going down
-
Going down
Let's not bother playing the remaining 30 games eh????????
-
Gi up
-
Peterson is a striker.
It's night like this I wish our owners would invest in the team.
-
It does make me laugh at people's reactions on here to a defeat.
Silly
-
Going down
No interest at all in what cocks your sucking ;)

Listening to PD he's looking down the table not up, I agree with him, we have more to fear from below
-
Just being realist boys, I said it last time we went down, albeit a bit later. All the same signs for me.

Have you ever said that when we haven't gone down?

I am surprised you find it amusing that we have needed championship defenders for four weeks and PD cannot get them because he is being held back. Tonight's result is not good but he is trying to improve the side and at the moment he cannot, let's hope before Thursday evening he can.
-
I don't think he is, if anything he's far more positive than he should be.
-
Sound so poor tonight.

Listening to Dickov, it has nowt to do with being allowed to sign anyone, it's to do with other clubs not letting their players out on loan so close to Xmas period.

Yet another unsubstantiated statement, being held back.....
-

Probably not no. I getcha, and I hope you're right (again) X
Can only see us struggling this season though.
-
You may getch me but I have no clue what you mean
-
Dunno what to say to that.
Not even a clue?
-
Very depressing to listen to tonight. It was sods law. Can only feel sorry for those who have travelled on both occasions
-
Eh well. That result was written in the stars the moment the original match was called off.
Take it on the chin and move on. If someone had offered us 4 points from the last 3 matches, I'd have taken them. We're not going to be strong this season (especially with the injury crisis). We're looking to scrap and pox out way to 46-48-ish points. We're currently just about on target to do that. We're not bad enough to be basket cases. We're not good enough to stay up comfortably. It's going to be a frustrating and unpleasant ride.
If you're up for the ride, buckle up and deal with it. If you're not, get your moaning out of your system now and shut the f**k up for the rest of the season while the Mesters deal with it.
-
With key injuries, which we're bound to have during a season, it was always gong to be a tough ask.
Let's get a bit of perspective. We're not in a good place at the moment and we've got to get through a number of fixtures by patching up the team. Syers scored again tonight, so the sooner we can get him or others back to give us an energy boost the better.
I think PD must just concentrate of working on the basics and not getting ahead of himself by constantly changing formations etc. Discipline is another area he needs to get a grip of. No cheap free kicks in dangerous areas. No petty pulls and pushes and silly bookings.
-
Let's hope we've got some mesters to deal with it eh, the ST holders will be there regardless I reckon, so we are allowed a bit of a wednesday grumble from time to time.
I personally don't care if we get relegated, it's fun times next season when we win most games hopefully.
Ups and Downs. Stuff the in betweens.
