This is a hoot. Ian Howfield was a kicker for the Houston Oliers who missed an important kick in 1991 and was cut (i.e. fired) the following day. Ten years on, he was still rather cross about being reminded of it.

I'd best not mention that sitter Mike Newell missed at Dover in 2000 then! He might be reading this very thread!
