Title: Dean Furman - One for the statto's
Post by: Fizzy_Fanta_and_Pringles on February 08, 2014, 11:04:43 pm
Sat having a debate on all things Rovers and wondered what Dean Furman's record is with us this season. How many games have we won/drew/lost when he's started?

Here you go.

When he has started (including cup)
Won 5, Drawn 3 and lost 12

That includes starting cup games with Rochdale (W), Leeds (L) and Stevenage (L)

This also includes being substituted against Sheff Wed at half time won 1-0 and after 23 minutes at Reading Lost 4-1.

When he has come off the bench
We have won one, drawn two and lost one

This includes coming on at half time against Middlesbrough last weekend. Other sub appearances were Wigan home and away and Watford away.

Brilliant 1879  :aok:

League record with Furman starting:
4W, 3D, 10L

League record without Furman starting:
3W, 5D, 5L

Always feel more confident looking at the team sheet and seeing Wellens and Keegan in the middle. Of course I'm not just blaming Furman, not having a settled back four for the majority of the season hasn't helped our cause.

He's clearly not good enough for the Championship, seen enough of him this season and can't remember one good performance. He wasn't even standout in league 1. Not sure how long is contract is but we should be looking to offload.

He needs to get his distribution sorted. He has clearly got an engine and a decent tackle on him, but he lets down all the effort with some poor balls when he has possession. If it doesn't go sideways then he plays it forward and this usually ends up at the feet of the opposition.
