TLO vs Leeds in the playoff final. Bloody hell we played well. What I did notice is the battering Wellens took.... And the inconsistency of Andy D'Urso. Douglas goes right through RW after 5 mins off the pitch - no booking. Mills' first challenge - booking.
Price and Hayter's work rate is phenomenal. Greeny was everywhere. Coppinger great.
In fact, hard to find anyone who had a poor game. That team had a real balance. And the movement... Joyous.

Wellens was a doubt for the game due to a bad ankle, the Leeds players were trying to get him off the pitch.
I agree, the ref seemed to think he already knew how the game was going to play out, problem was he and the Leeds fans were wrong. I doubt he watches it back as one of his better games.

I had it recorded too but a friend who came to stay watched it and deleted it by mistake .I'd willingly buy a DVD if the shop ever restocks with all our memorable games.

if you've recorded via sky plus you can get it back. Just scroll right on your planner till you come to deleted, then just reselect it

Club shop missing a massive opportunity. I used to buy vhs of big games to re watch back. If I remember correctly I'm sure every game could be bought in full?

D'Urso is the referee for the game with Barnsley on Saturday.

I tell you what. Douglas could have walked for that tackle on Wellens. Watched it again, again. Shocker. Knew exactly what he was doing. Off the field of play as well.
Douglas must hate Rovers. Lost that game and then was in the Brentford side last season. He who laughs last laughs longest (and twice).

I always tell my Leeds supporting mates that Wellens was actually in the 5th row of the seats but Douglas still got him
A bad challenge and one as you say COULD have been judges a red but was nit even judged a yellow

It's around 5 minutes in.

It was a hernia Naith if memory serves me right.

Sure it was knee or ankle ... and when "that" tackle came in I was sure it was premeditated to see Wellens "off". Thankfully it failed

No doubt premeditated. The idea was to nobble one of our play makers early doors. It's a yellow all day long, possibly a red actually. Awful challenge. I don't buy all of this "it's early in the game so I'm not going to flash a card" mentality. A foul is a foul is a foul.
-
Thnx for the advice on recovering a delete .. but I moved from France to Belgium meantime and had to change my Sky card too... so I have to hope for a DVD some day .

Amazing how often it happens, though. Think of that shocker on Quinn early doors at Middlesbrough this season.

There was a lot of talk pre match , about what could happen to Richie , and I think Sean asked the officials to watch and protect the team, not sure if that was media hype though.
Then 'that' tackle came in, I thought it was a straight red, even from the other end of the pitch! Shocking from the officials.
