Tough one this one , unfortunately going for 1-0 defeat on current form and lack of killer instinct in front of goal. :(

It's a nice day for a jaunt to the seaside.

I'd take a nil nil with this one.

I shall be heading the ground in a bit... Not expecting much, tbh. That said, if our defence holds firm then we might nick a point or better (but only if their 'keeper doesn't play a blinder - he 's a bit good). I've watched 'em a couple of times this season and they don't half like to try to walk the ball into the back of the net. If they could get a goal-scorer in they'd almost certainly be higher up the table, as evidenced by their performance (which I watched) against Leicester... Matched the league leaders all over the park and were very unlucky to not earn a point from that. However, Leicester's keeper nary had a save to make...

It all depends on our defence today, I reckon. As an exile here in Bournemouth, I'm praying for something - anything - from today. I've already had the pre-match piss-taking from those around me...

I'd be surprised with anything other than a loss today but we live in hope. Hopefully listening in to RP from Lanzarote where it's 20ÂșC and sunny. A bit different to Yeovil a week ago. Come on Donny !! :scarf: :scarf:

I'm disappointed that all you think about defeat. Even if they are a better team and has the best chances to win, to think that you lose this match before starting...that's sad. In football anything can happen, you have to try, believe and hope. If you lose, then you can't be disappointed because you tried to win and should be proud because you did everything depended on you

That's a nice way of looking at it. It'll be interesting to see how the boys react to last week's "performance".

Coppinger behind the strikers do we think? or can Bowery play wide?

The mentality can change. If you want you have to try, if you try then you have to believe. The players gain their strengths from the fans. Sometimes a small team can beat a big team because they and their fans believe that anything is possible.

I don't think it's the Doncaster anything.

Our away form is a bag of shite, and we're playing a decent side. Just because folk aren't blind to that doesn't make it some sort of intrinsic characteristic of a whole town.

There's no denying our away form is rubbish, the point DMC is making is that the fans can have a positive effect if they believe, rather than just lie down and accept defeat

I was more contesting your sweeping generalisation of the whole town more than anything.

But yeah, fine. Let's all blindly predict victories when there's absolutely nothing to suggest that will be the outcome.  :)

Surprising how Bournemouth have managed to build a far better squad than us.

Not hard with the money they've got to spend. Paid 2m for Rante and he's not even starting today

The 'First team manager' is responsible for the performance of the first team, always. That's the way it has to be. They control the players who play and have to coach them to play as a team.

'It's down to the players' is a classic excuse to absolve the manager of responsibility. All players are pros, it's the same situation for all clubs and squads, it's up to the manager and the resources available (we've been told by Baldwin that our budget is good enough to compete) to provide the edge.

Our form is disappointing and worrying at this time in the season, having been on a good run until recently.

I wouldn't say the season is over yet, but it gets more difficult with each defeat :(

Obviously confidence shot but, I fail to see why a player, Furman, who by all accounts was the only player to come out with any credit in the first half, gets subbed when Wellens and Keegan have been dog sh*t.

To say it's the managers fault not the players is a cop out aswell the manager has picked the only team he could today, the players are out there it's down to them

Since 1969 maybe, Frosty or his dad?

In all seriousness, I fear for Dickov now.  We've got players back from injury, signings like Tamas, Meite and Sharp, yet our form has gone down the toilet at the wrong time of the season.

I am ever the optimist and have enough in my life not to get too wound up about losing or relegation, but even I believe this is becoming a real struggle now.

The best thing they can do, is keep away from the media, have a lock-in at Cantley Park and regroup. This has got to hurt them. Well I hope it does as much as it hurts us!!

Well. Dickov will be furious. Be interesting to see the reaction next game. A real test for him and the players. And tbh if we have players who allegedly don't want to play for him, then they should be ashamed. They should give 100% every time they pull on the shirt.

Don't give him another 3 games for us to lose!
I don't think the players want to play for him, or have no idea what he wants them to do.
Get shut now, replace him with Jones and Flynn until the end of the season.
We may go down, but the way things are going, we may go down anyway. At least with Jones in charge he'd go on the pitch and pull them off by their b*llocks if they didn't do as they were told
