Did Watford touch the ball between the sending off & the goal, we seemed to have possession for an age? If not it must have been a good 70+ passes

I'd like to know how many passes we had there as well...seemed like we had the ball for a very long time. About as good as it gets in football for me that one...keeping the ball, frustrating the opposition, then taking your chance when you get it.

It seems like a lot of our fans still don't see the value in keeping the ball and chipping away until an opportunity presents itself. I lost count of how many grumbles I heard last night when we weren't firing long balls into the box at every given opportunity.

It was a lovely cross when it did finally come, as well.

Jenny had people around me too just wanted ball hoofing into Watford penalty area
It was a sublime passage of play on a par with the much heralded QPR one

Great header by Browny

I bet those same folks will moan when we play long ball and it doesn't work... Playing keep ball is fine by me, as long as they keep the ball!
On saturday, when Hudds got their first corner after 2/3 mins, someone sat near me said "with their pace, they are going to tear us a new one" plus several other negative comments I can't remember. They were quiet in the 2nd half, wonder why...
Fans can be so fickle.

That play leading up to Browns goal is exactly what we should have been doing and should have carried on doing, we were stretching them all over the place, for some unknown reason we stopped doing it after we scored and let them off the hook, gave them the encouragement they needed, the equaliser seemed to wake us up, I feared the worse when they got level

Agree. I seemed to be the only person shouting for them to get the ball down on the ground. Watford struggled everytime we passed along the green and ran straight at them, Cotterill for example thrived on it and always looked a threat.

Running at defenders is something we should do more often. With Copps, Cotts, Duffy, Sharp, Husband (and Meite vs Hudds remember) we have the players to do this. There is much more chance of a corner/attempt on goal/free kick than by standing off. I don't mind them losing the ball and misplacing a cross etc, if in the main they are having a go.
-
Its just anxiousness that fans want the ball as far away from our goal as poss. The same fear gets into players heads and inevitably start giving the ball away.

I've got some bloke this season behind me who incessantly screams "Attack!", even when we are bloody attacking. Cool your jets, fella!

It's not that Japanese fella that still thinks WW2 is ongoing and refuses to surrender is it :)
