Formations/ personnel and ideas people?
-
Personally, I think the issue was more one of sorting our whole form out, and that may now be well under way.
-
Be the first club to employ two managers on a job share basis, with Dickov at home and Saunders away......
-
We might just be playing Forest at a good time. They've hit a bit of a slump in form, have several players out injured (including Andy Reid) and won't have Silly Billy ranting in the technical area as he's serving a touchline ban. Maybe an unlikely point (or three) coming on Saturday?
Tactically I'd advocate an extra man in midfield, though I'd be reluctant to sacrifice either Brown or Sharp. They seem to be striking up an understanding and their presence gives defenders a lot to think about.

Five in midfield is probably the way to go, but has RB has mentioned, how can you drop Brown or Sharp. We need to show a bit of belief away from home, Wellens and Keegan have the ability to dominate midfield, my only concern is our defensive crisis, we need a right back and centre back on loan urgently, we currently have Five centre backs out injured!
-
4-4-2 against Forest we've got absolutely nothing to lose, we've had two great wins and now with a gap between us and the bottom playing against a side in dodgy form
-
Both Brown and Sharp attract the attention of opposition defenders, leaving more room for TLO Cotts, Duffy and Copps etc to operate. Brown wins most things in the air, is good with his feet and can hold up play. Sharp will chase the defenders down all game. With those 2 up front together, we can press the opposition back and prevent them being creative as vs Huddersfield.
Hopefully Meite will be fit to play. McCullough may be OK with an experienced partner.
Simple answer to the OP, score more and concede less!
I think Forest may underestimate us - if not their coaching staff then certainly the majority of their fans will expect a home win.
-
how do we sort the away form out?
1) Show the opposition respect, but not too much - like we have done this season.
2) When we score, don't fear the re-percussion and roll up like hedgehogs - Keep up the winning formula and go for another goal!
-
Living in Nottingham I talk to a few Forest supporters in my local, they are expecting 3 points but are scared sh%tless that a certain number 10 might be out to spoil their party and bag a few just to prove a point to a certain nasty little scotsman who unfortunately can't be anywhere near the pitchside on Saturday!
C'mon William prove your point please :woohoo:

Play Sharp a bit deeper? In the hole behind Browny perhaps?
-
I would have thought the opposite BS up front Browny filling in, if there is no incoming loan by Saturday might Brown end up at CB? Just a thought.

I have to say that none of us is paid to sort out any problems. Let those who are do wahat they are paid to do. All we do is make assumptions based on no facts and bits we've picked up here and there.
Maybe the lead should have been "What can Dickov and Horton do to solve the away problem?" In the ned no matter what any of us say, they will do things the way they thinkl they should be done. If they succeed they will stay, if they fail they will leave.

Away form?? we need a settled defence looks like it ant going to happen. If dickov going with 3 defenders may b time to play de Vel as well as keegan to give midfield extra bite as i thought pre-season he likes to get stuck in
