Title: Great point
Post by: MrFrost on March 15, 2014, 04:57:10 pm
More than matched Forest. Defended brilliantly with our make shift defence.
Quietly confident for survival now.

Yeah, definitely a good point. More importantly if anybody would have offered me 7 from 9 against Watford, Hudds and Forest I'd have snapped their hands off. Another happy weekend as far as I'm concerned.

Can't complain with 7 from 9.

Could've won that, although that might be a bit greedy. How good was Copps at right back? Didn't look out of place at all.

Defence played well for most of the game, thought we conceded some unnecessary corners but when our defence is what it is you expect that to happen. Shows that if you can limit your opponents to a minimal amount of chances you can rely on Johnstone. Loved Meite charging forward towards the end!

Wellens played a good game, as did Keegan. Duffy and Cotterill exploited some space down the flanks, and with Husband and Coppinger getting forward at times it gave Forest something to think about, although I do think Duffy and Cotterill both had great chances at times to play others in on goal and instead went for the shot themselves.

Brown and Sharp were just themselves and put in good performances and an another day could have snatched a couple of goals between them but it just didn't to seem to fall to them enough times.

Ref was pretty unbias, some decisions questionable but was the same for both sides.

All in all a good result and 7 points from the last 3 is a pretty decent return. If we win 1 in our next 2 we will have 10 points from 5 games which is really the form you expect from a team hunting promotion.

We are just a bunch of weirdos really. Poor performances against Yeovil and Barnsley, and then picking up seven points from nine when expected to struggle.

Another really good result today though. I think nine more points will see us more than comfortable.

Perhaps we've stumbled on a right back that can add value and balance to the team. Keep it going James.

Only managed to get on the live stream for the 2nd half. A few more games under his belt and Sharp would have nicked it for us with the header. We look really well balanced in midfield at the moment and I really like the look of Coppinger at right back. Special shouts to Quinn and Johnstone I thought they were fantastic.

More than a good point, an excellent point. Especially with the way the other results went

Just on the train back. Thought Johnson in goal and quinn at cb were solid as chocolate concrete. Meite madness at times but also solid. Cotterill and Duffy just needed that extra bit of composure to finish one our chances. Florest were shit. Even game, we had better chances

Local radio even stated that we probably should've won it.
Lots of "how poor were we" calls, funny as fu*k.

Walking back through the Forest fans back into town centre they all sounded fairly bitter about it.

Big big fan of Meite though.

I sat in the pub an hour before the game against Watford last Tuesday as someone told me the line-up, and I thought "we've only got 3 defenders on the pitch tonight.....surely he doesn't expect Copps to play right back?!"

That's why Dickov is a football manager and I'm......not.

2 games later, Copps has two MOM awards under his belt and we're talking about the best right back since Harold Wilcockson.

I love this club.........hats off to Dickov.
