I Hate how the commentator's call him Duuuuuugie Freedman,it's Duggie stop trying to jazz it up,little irritations on tv :headbang:

Its not though, it is "Dougie" , and because of the "Scottish Drawl" it is Douuuugie".

Actually, it's not.

There's an interview online somewhere with Freedman from his time as manager of Palace, and he says that it's pronounced "Dougie" as normal, and that it was actually Jonathan Pearce who started off this odd "Dooooooogie" thing.

The difference is the "O" with it it is Dougie without its Duggie. Take our own beloved Colin Douglas. in Donny he was known affectionately as Duggie. With the Scots "Twang" he would probably have been known as "Douggie" Ask any Scot.
