and some wonder why they are banned (and why we don't use tear gas)

Bet he got fired the next morning
-
The steward tear gassed a naked flame.....
-
d**khead police mans fault, even though he posed little or no threat he sprayed tear gas, which ignited when it came into contact with the flare.
-
Well done, that steward, that got him down. I'd like to see more of this.
-
And this of course. (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/flare-kills-football-fan-at-world-cup-qualifying-match-1505057.html)

Saw this yesterday, the copper must be a idiot for spraying him whilst he's got a flare lit, why couldn't he of done the simple thing and arrest him.

Would the person with the flare be in idiot?
-
If he hadn't lit the flare in the first place then it wouldn't have ever happened
-
Whilst the flare wielder was in the wrong for having the flare, the steward needs some punishment for spraying gas on a naked flame.....pure stupidity.
-
Two wrongs make a right obviously.
-
Bit off topic but a blackpool fan got injured by a smoke bomb at the Wigan match

The tear gas wasn't the problem, it's the propellant gas (butane) that is used in aerosols that caused the flare-up.
Is the policeman expected to know that this would happen? Only if it is covered in the training he was given.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and suppose the tear gas training focussed on crowd control. It worked a treat.
-
The use of cs spray, parva, call it what you will is a big no no in crowd situations.
-
I bet he got down afterwards. I believe that was the desired result, no?
