Title: False hope?
Post by: godlike1 on April 29, 2014, 10:52:33 pm
Brum are better away from home than at home

We are so bad away from home it's unreal

I know I'm being a pessimist but I'm just lacking faith after loosing the last 5 games in a row

If Birmingham had won tonight then for me, it was over. Now I think we have a (slim) chance.

Is you putting "(slim)" in itself false hope?

A slim chance . Nah it's a shoe in well beat Leicester 0-1 Sharp with an over head kick . IMO

It wasn't a overhead kick but a decent volley that last time he went there with us

I'd settle for another "thrown goal" via KS

My slim chance is that we'll both lose. Which, given how shite BCFC and we are, is highly conceivable.

Will check the odds for a losing double !

2.75 to 1 so £37.50 for a Tenner (W Hill)

We haven't lost the last 5 games in a row!

I think Rovers can get the draw, just need the Brummies not to win.

I would like it put on record by the way that I obviously hope to god we win on sat, but the number of times we have used up our 10 or 11 lives in relying on other teams not performing when we need it, I just think we may have run out of luck

Should just about fill the goal on Saturday

Birmingham deserve to go down with a home record,as bad as theirs.

We can't say a lot with an away record like ours.

False hope? No, genuine hope.

I don't think that Leicester fans would be that keen on doing the B'ham lot a favour; however, the fans aren't on the pitch playing...

It may however be financially beneficial for Leicester though...... as any fence sitting football fans are more likely to want to go and watch Leicester in the Prem than B'ham in League One......... maybe

.......grasping at straws possibly.

Rovers to match or better brummies result on Saturday, I'd call that more than a slim chance.

Would also take a draw for us and Bournemouth beating Millwall by 2 or more goals - that will keep us up  :scarf: :woohoo:

Never back your team to lose Wolf, especially at those meagre odds. Millwall to go at 16-1 my be worth a couple of quid (as mentioned by other comrades, in this thread).

I'd rather say Birmingham have to do better than us. They have the pressure on them now.

I think Bolton were one of the best teams to come to the Keepmoat this season (performance wise), let's hope they keep it up!

The reason I described it as a slim chance is because I fancy Birmingham slightly more to get something at Bolton than I do us to get something at Leicester.

If the fixtures were reversed (i.e. Brum were at Leicester) I would give us more than a slim chance.

Bolton have been on an excellent run of late though, and will probably want to finish what has been a generally disappointing season on a high note.

Too true .... look at their points compared to the Teams above

Its a game of confidence and had they started their "escape" run earlier they were almost Play off material (one to watch for next Season ?)
