The Belles play Yeovil tomorrow KO 1pm.
Staniforth, the managers view
Speaking to the Official Website in the build-up to this game, Staniforth said: "The reports we've had about Yeovil show that they aren't a bad team. What we've got to do is keep our standards very high to make sure we go into the break with a 100% record, or at least top of the league"
Take a look at the highlights the Belles got two beauties in their last game against Watford.

The quality of highlight viewing is far better than RP but why? take note VSC

Hopefully they fair better against Yeovil than the rovers usually do
-
This is the start of the new era and our time has come to shine.
Come on you Belles!!!
lead the way.
-
I'd have to shove that bell up the ringer's arse though. So annoying. Almost as bad as the old f**ker at Preston who used to play the trumpet.
-
PDX,
I intend to go to my first game when the Belles play Watford 3 miles down the road from me so I will get my first exposure to "the bells"
I find it a little disappointing that there is not more support for the Belles even if they are being supported more because of the poor way the FA treated them.
-
Why have the belles changed their strip from red and white hoops to yellow and blue?
I thought the idea within club Doncaster was that the ideal scenario would be all teams would play in the same colours.
Belles in Yellow & Blue
Dons Gold & Blue
How long before the Yellow/Gold becomes one and Rovers follow?
-
Yellow and blue were always their colours, same for the RL club. Perhaps the change kits can be red and white?
Official "club colours" are not necessarily the same as the kit. Take for example Hanover 96 in the German Bundesliga, their club colours are green, black and white yet their home kit is red based....
-
Time for the original Rovers kit to make a comeback as the away kit.
-
Rovers
Home - red & white
Away - yellow & blue
Belles
Home - yellow & blue
Away - red & white
Dons
Home - yellow & blue
Away - red & white
IMO. Belles and Dons are already like that, so just get our away kit yellow and blue and sorted.
-
Has the Belles' kit changed only this season then? cos I went to watch them last year and they had the red and white hoops on.
-
They have gone back to yellow/blue this season. Not too sure why.
-
Won again 2-1

Yellow shirts, blue shorts was the Belles away kit last season, and its been taken on as the home kit this season after about eight years in red and white hoops. As others have pointed out it is the club's more traditional club colour, and they've been doing more work to connect the present club to past generations and traditions lately so the move made a lot of sense.
The current away kit is plain red shirts with black shorts, personally I'd like to have seen them retain the hoops for this but then I'd like Rovers away kit to be green.
They wore red at Yeovil today where they ground out a win - had pretty much all the possession and territory, but struggled to create clear-cut chances and had to rely on two set-piece goals - captain Leandra Little heading home from Sue Smith's corner once in each half - to secure the win. Mind, it might have been more convincing had Lauren Creswell's long range effort been an inch lower when Donny had just gone 1-0 up, instead it rattled back off the bar.
There's an annoying break in the Super League season now, so the Belles won't be in action again until the end of June when they play Millwall away (at Beckenham Town), but having won their opening five league games there's little more they could've done up to this point.

They could p'raps get some target practice Glen? There's a bunch of very good targets I hear down Lancaster Gate way.
