Title: Football emotions
Post by: BillyStubbsTears on May 25, 2014, 12:03:38 am
Universal aren't they?

Just seen the QPR-Derby match.

After Zamora scored, the camera panned to the Derby fans. Pudgy lad. Looked like a fat Martin Freeman. Turned to his mate and said, "The f***ing w**kers".

Yes, I saw that too.  Lip reading is a good skill to have.

How dirty were QPR, though?  Every time Derby looked to break from a (rare) QPR attack in the first half the Derby player was cynically fouled and the ref didnt seem to want to book anyone.  The sending off was spot on and the ref had no other choice, but to listen to Gary O'Neil explain after the match he decided to "take one for the team" to stop Derby scoring just repulsed me.

Be interesting to see how the FPP sanctions pan out. The increased parachute payment thing is disgusting too.

I was wanting QPR to implode. Someone is going to sooner or later. It's probably the only way the FA and PL might just have a think about the consequences of their policies. I used to like QPR - best midfield I ever saw; friendly place, Stan Bowles. But now? The perfect candidate for implosion. That result is gut wrenching.

Derby were by far the better side. I felt sorry do them, QPR are another club that Arry is going to leave in financial turmoil no doubt.

I've been mesmerised by the lad's obscenity. I've replayed it a dozen times today and I still don't know if he's talking about the QPR players, the QPR fans, the Derby players, the Derby fans, the Derby management, the Derby Board or the folk who voted UKIP in Derby. Or that  video of our ex-and-current-players.

Any one of them threads opens up a fascinating story.

David Peace could make a whole novel out of that 0.25 seconds of video.
