JR said yesterday he is finished with football and he doesn't think he will step in a football ground again. So what now for the outstanding loan and his shares in the club.
There was, as we all know, a report of JR wanting to call in his loan and the club going into administration. I'd this still a possibility and were his reported threats to take his money and force the club into administration the real reason he failed the fit and proper persons test? I'm seriously worried about what the next few weeks have I'm store.
-
If it came to it, I am sure the loans would be paid to JR, unless John wants to do the same as Terry and Dick and simply writes them off. That would be a classy move.
-
Would be a nice move but not sure jr has quite as much money as them
-
I wouldn't be surprised on bit if he called it in. Don't think hes as flush as he obviously thinks he is
-
Funnily enough if he called it in he would pass the owners test.
-
Don't say that Gaz, that could be the next "big idea" :suicide:

But it seems that he hasn't necessarily failed the Owners & Directors Test - there is also a requirement for "Future Financial Information" where you have to demonstrate a business plan that will sustain the club going forward.
Obviously the FL weren't convinced with the idea of tapping up schoolgirls for their pocket money either.

I personally reckon we should pay him of with the dons super league money (if they get there) we all no how much he loved that investment

if JR did force the issue it would only
Prove the FA's point the conclusion was correct .

If JR did call in the loan it would surely put the club into administration and he'd be lucky to get 10p in the pound. I don't think he can afford to write off £3.6m like that.
-
As part of the FL regulations any loan holders at a football club have to declare that they have no intention of calling in their loans during the forthcoming season.
He'll have to declare one way or the other, if he hasn't already done so.

Possible that TB/DW could take on JR's loan.

A bit left field, but why doesn't John keep them and invest in the club he loves?

Outrageous suggestion Cookie.

Only problem with that is that there is no promotion to Super League this season. Promotion doesn't kick in till the end of the 2015 season. Nice thought though...
-
So how have london been relegated then ???
-
There are 2 teams relegated, the other is likely to be Bradford. These two, the top nine in the Championship and the winner from Championship 2 will form a 12 team Championship next season, meaning 12 in each of the three divisions. Think how Leigh will feel lol.

I was told that there was going to be no exchange of cash re the takeover, merely the taking on of the clubs debt. £6mill of TB and DW and the £3 mill of JR.
I would have hoped that there would have been some sort of legal agreement to the effect that should the takeover fail JR would not be calling in his loan but would agree for it to be cleared at the rate and in the time limit already agreed.
If that is the case we will see some new faces next week, if there is a likelyhood of JR calling in his loan we will have to wait and see what happens, as the club might have to got into Administration.

There won't be any administration.

Care to expand on that SM? I do dislike bold statements without substance.

I think after recent events and how they've developed over the last few months words are of little comfort at the moment, actions would be a better statement of intent

There won't be any administration.
Glad to here it.

I'm not sure I can other than to say administration following the failed T/O is not on the cards. TB has issued a statement saying he's happy to be able to take the club forward positively. And he means that.

Thanks SM, that's good enough for me. :)

Didn't TB and DW say they'd write those debts off for JR, so really it was only the 3m owed to JR?
-
In think TB &DW's loans were only written off as far as they transfer of shares and sale were concerned. They are probably still in place as far as he Tax man's concerned . JR the same for tax . The obvious gesture of the write off was to help show it that no money was changing hands between them and remove any obstacles to help the transfer .
