I'm torn between wanting a good cup run, but not wanting to risk injuries with the lack of depth in the squad. Although more games will help gel the team seeing as they've not actually been together for that long!
Either way, I reckon we'll win this. 3 - 1 to the Rovers! :scarf:
-
looking forward to seeing the starting line up then i can judge r chances of getting a result U REDS !!!!
-
Steer
Wakefield
McCombe
McCullough
Evina
Copps
Furman
De Val
Bennett
Robinson
Main
-
5 changes then. Surprised JM is fit to start.
-
not a bad starting 11 1-3 Rovers
-
When you look at that line up it means the bench is stronger than most thought, add Wellens and Quinn if they stay or replacements if they leave, not too bad. Still requires luck with injuries though.

If Wellens were to somehow stay that would be a major boost
-
Not a bad starting line up - would have probably given Marosi instead of Steer a game myself

Keegan dropped to make sure he's not cup-tied?
-
Maybe he just wants to try out a new combination. Hopefully it'll mean Furman is allowed to play in a more advanced role like under Flynn.
-
Keegan is on the bench
-
Keegan dropped to make sure he's not cup-tied?
Scrap that. He's on the bench.

Scrap that. He's on the bench.
But if he doesn't come on he is not cup tied

Not bad make 5 changes and still have that team good hope mccombe doesnt have to come off after 30 mins cause we have put him in too soon
-
Who's there for us tonight ?
Can't make it myself as I am on a hill in Devon trying not to get blown off.

Anyone else's player commentary keep dropping out?
-
mine is ok pal

Why can you still not listen to live commentary on radio sheff online?

Why can you still not listen to live commentary on radio sheff online?
Probably to do with licensing, they can only broadcast football to the region, but online it would go anywhere? Same with league games. Pisser, as I live out of the RS area too...
-
Updates appreciated guys.
Not much reaching Corfu tonight.
-
not much going on in York either.

Good following tonight
-
York seem to have been on top going by RS commentary.
-
McCombe brothers on opposite sides, I wonder how many times that has happened to them in pro football?
-
Sounds like a poor game with York marginally on top.
-
I wouldn't expect a great spectacle, 2nd game into the season with 5 changes since Saturday - will take a while for the team to settle properly. Soak up whatever York throw at us and take advantage of our moments.
-

Last 5 - 10 minutes it has cut out on a few occasions
COYR
:scarf:
-
took 30 mins to get the first corner
-
Sounds like Rovers have woken up a bit in last couple of minutes. Commentary makes us believe a few just going through motions and not taking responsibility. Kyle Bennett doing the fancy dan in bad areas and giving the ball away, long aimless balls out of defence.
Main sounds like the only one trying to get things going and gee the others up.
-
Sounds as though Wakefield's having a shocker.
-
Well that sounded exciting
COYR
-
Wakefield, Bennett, Furman ...
-
Think we'll be glad to get to half time and get heads bashed and tell them, ask them whether they really do want to be professional footballers.
Go out there, work hard, look up and help each other. At the beginning of a season, they should be out there like spring lambs.
-
Is Wakefield playing right back? Just assumed with the line up
-
another 45 mins with a clean sheet so doing well and big jamie coming though it.
hopefully Dickov can get us to come out all attack and can get a goal early on maybe settle the younger lads down

You want double-entendres, I'll give you one.
-
I certainly don't imagine we'll be playing with too much coherence this early in the season with so many changes. Give the players some slack, the performances will come...

What you do on Devon hills is your own affair fella

All but 3 of those players have been with us more than a year.
-
After our pre-season did you expect us to hit the ground running performance wise? 5 changes from the Yeovil game yet we've kept a clean sheet so far.
-
Who's the Radio Sheffield commentator? He sounds like the gas man off Bottom.
Here's the score at half time. Nought-nought-nought-nought-nought-nought-nought.

Jonathan Buchan, with Mickey Walker.
-
Under the cosh then Rovers break out and Robinson heads over the bar.
Forrester on, Bennett off.
-
Who is this Daz chap on the commentary? He's struggling to string a sentence together.
-
Doncaster Rovers FC @drfc_official 1m
Forrester almost makes an immediate impact by launching an attach for Rovers #drfclive #ycfc 0-0 #drfc

Frustrating to listen to. When was the last time either Furman or Bennett had anything above a milldy average game for rovers?

Bennett seems to have just completely gone at the game. Forrester instantly lifted the team when he came on. Not sure how we can get through a season with Furman, Keegan and De Val in midfield either.
-
Corporal Jones on. COYR !
Still not great, giving the ball away with one or two flashes of hope involving Forrester.
-
jones on for boom boom
-
are we saving Tyson for extra time ???
-
Get in
-
Forrester. Match winner !!!!!
-
Wahay
:scarf:
-
:rtid:yes forrister
-
Get in there, Harry. Making up for lost time eh?
-
From the reaction of the RS commentary it was a good strike as well.
-
Get in - about time
COYR
-
Main laid off to Forrester.
-
Full time. Hoping we get a Premier League side or a beatable one?
-
Well that wasn't the best game I've listened to but a win is a win
COYR

Smash and Grab. Not the best performance. Onwards.
-
2 games 2 wins, long may this run continue! RTID
-
And another clean sheet. At this stage it doesn't matter if the performance isn't great as long as we don't concede.
Hopefully we can be more entertaining on Saturday :)
-
Important win
-
Unbeaten on the road this season - a good start but only a start - looking forward to Port Vale on Saturday now.
COYR
:scarf:

who do we want would prefer another local side maybe Chesterfield if they get though or maybe scunny
and another clean sheet well done the defence and keeper
-
Mmm who believes in omens? Didn't we beat York 1-0 with a late winner and poor performance with a 3-0 away win in our first league game 2 seasons ago? Can't think how that season finished
-
Imperative we keep Harry fit this year

Beat me to it Lincs.
Similarities with last League One campaign, although I hope things are a bit different as our home record was poor.
Not being greedy like, but a home win on Saturday will be very welcome to get the home ball rolling and get fans down to the KM.
Quid a kid. Spread the word.

Not quite. It went to penalties, but we did win.
Did Leeds win? we always seem to f**king draw Leeds.

Is the next round draw tomorrow?

Yeah tomorrow night.

Bound to be f**king Leeds!

Cheers Red memory failing but let's hope that May ends with the same result

We've got The Corporal- they've got The Pope.
Should be an interesting battle.
