"Rovers return to the Keepmoat Stadium after a 4 month absence to face Port Vale. 2 wins from 2 games, 4 goals scored, 0 conceded has given the reds the perfect start to the season...
Rovers have won the last 4 against Vale, heres hoping that's 5 come 5pm."

Yep. Full of early season uncertainty. PD says they're a physical side. Personally I'd like to combat that with good possession with our quick players running at them but, I think PD will opt for Keegan & Furman leaving De Val on the Bench. I think late goals will decide this. An uncomfortable 3-1 Rovers.
-
Well, we need 'Fortress Keepmoat' if we are to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, but I think it's too early to call. Were we excellent against Yeovil, or were Yeovil merely woeful?
I don't want to sound like Mr. Negative, but I said on Twitter that we'd need to see where we were after 10 games - I'm standing by that (though we could still be bitten in the jacksy if injuries start to bite). It's great to have got off to such a good start results-wise, but there are far too many variables to be overly positive. To be frank, the mood of this 'ere forum has very quickly gone from negative to the point of being near-suicidal to "We're in with a shout of promotion" after only one convincing performing in the league and one not-so comfortable one against a League 2 side in the cup... I think we need to temper our excitement a little.
It'd be great if still topped the table at 5pm, mind. :scarf:

Keeping my eyes on Twitter... This is priceless already:

Moany arse is back next to me for another season. Fifteen seconds in he was moaning about Curtis Main not being tall enough. #Drfc
-
Gah...
Doncaster Rovers 0-1 Port Vale (Ben Williamson, 27')
-
Bugger.
-
Other than conceding, how are we getting on?

Disappointing goal to concede (set piece) but Vale not bad value for it. Visitors have kept possession better. #drfc
-
0-2...
-
Pope drills home from inside the box. Came from a throw in - horrible goal to concede. #drfc
-
0-3... FFS.
-
Bloody hell... 0-3 down. Sounded like a foul on Steer. Well, a rocket at half time.
-
Crikey, this is a bit more what we expected last week eh lads?
-
Vale have two strikers who have hit the ground running. Still, it's one half of one game in a 46 game season. That half hurts though...
-
That's why we have to be measured. All this positivity and 'PD's done great', etc... PV were a team in the top ten last season (just), so this is - perhaps - an interesting yardstick, especially at home...
Assuming we don't get back into it, I DO NOT want PD to give it the 'I don't know why they didn't perform today, but it won't happen again' speech. Not this early in the season.
-
Piss poor performance so far, midfield don't seem to have turned up apart from Forrester, and defence shite.
-
I'd put DeVal on and take one of the front two off. Was it a foul on Steer for the third by Pope? Commentators reckon it was clear.
-
Goodnight Vienna, we won't come back from this.
-
No, I doubt we will...

HT 0-3. Reality check. Three goals in 14 minutes stun #drfc - all stemmed from Vale doing the basics better. Case for a foul for the third.
-
Don't know if Steer was fouled for the third, but he did well to punch it out. Not his fault it went straight to them
-
All this means is that Take That are better than One Direction.

#drfc still struggling for any sort of foothold in the game.
-
Gillingham beating Yeovil 2-0... Mebbe gives us an indication of how mighty the cider drinkers are at the moment...

Main limping. Bennett about to come on. #drfc
-
Hurrah and huzzah!

74' #DRFC 1 Port Vale 3, Bennett from long range.
-
Referee sounds a right Kitson.
-
Main inured.
Forrester suspended.
Defence rubbish.
How much is in this there contingency fund?
-
Be interesting to see the Forrester incident...

We never get the rub, do we?

OFF! Harry Forrester for Doncaster Rovers against Port Vale #drfc #pvfc

Unbelievable.
Forrester wrestled to the ground in the box but instead of the deserved penalty he's sent off. #DRFC
-
They will appeal that red, it would seem...
-
Dodgy 3rd goal. Dodgy sending off. Game actually even in terms of stats - they obviously have a better strike force. Currently 10th in the league with a positive goal difference. It's all ups and down in a season - no need to panic yet.
-
Oh god, it's way too early to panic or cry. For exactly the same reason as it was to get over-excited and boastful after last week's game.
-
We will win more than we lose.
-
I think the referee might be in for some stick at the final whistle... Dearie me. He sounds like a whole new level of shite.
-
I'll be surprised if pope is there for much longer.
-
Seems we're lacking in a number of areas, but will watch the full game on player to se how bad this ref was.
-
Likewise BRR. Will watch this one with interest.
-
We will win more than we lose.
If we can't do that on the budget we have then we're really in trouble. But you're right, we'll win more than we lose.

All I know is this:

Tried to latch onto through ball and collided with keeper. Caught him, but looked like a genuine attempt to play ball. #drfc
Will at least give me an excuse to watch the FLS.

Or say something?

No he was going for the ball... Never a red card, at worst a yellow.
