Lanre is a photojournalist who is documenting the lifes of drug addicts. To get closer and understand the addicts Lanre decides to go on a controlled supply of Heorin but fails to control it which follows years of addiction.

Just watched this documentary about Heroin addiction, unreal. It made me sympathise with drug addicts to an extent and shows how hrd it is for them to come clean.

Everytime you see one with a push bike you just know Its stolen ,just look
At the way they hold onto Their bikes with 'i was not my bike but it is Now

Sick Of going on Oslo underground and having to pass these waste Of space fcukers shooting up in Public view

Then This smackhead comes bumbling along from behind me to very front Of que.not one person said Owt as all the que looked down at the Floor

Smackhead was looking at que up and down as he went to pay for his carry outs ,Thats When i barked at the fcuker to Get back in line

'Oi smackhead just cause yer have a drug problem dont mean you can jump any que iam in Now fcuk off behind me'

It's strange isn't it, of all the addictions drug addiction is the one that garners the least sympathy.

It is in the main so instant, one mistake, one lapse due to peer pressure ect and that is it, addiction and the world looking at you as if you are the dregs of the earth..

Yet,

Look at the journey into alcohol addiction.. It is slow silent and seductive... That enjoyable drink on a night out, then the drink before you go can lead in many to several drinks before you do anything, That relaxing glass becomes a bottle..
No one blinks an eye at the boozer in the corner with drinks lined up... How many times have you heard or been told you are boring for not wanting to drink?

No one sets out to be an addict, personally I think directly opposite to Oslo, I think more needs to be done to help those with an addiction, for their sake and their loved ones.
Just because the beginning of the illness can be seen to be self inflicted doesn't mean these people should be left to rot.

I'm of the Oslo thinking on this one, there's plenty of info out there on the harmful effects of taking drugs, no one forces them to be a drug addict, but they end up wanting all the help and sympathy. I know of a Childrens centre for Children of various disabilties locally that was closed down under the pretext of cost cutting, what did the council do with the building? Open a drug rehabilitation unit, kids have to go without for the druggies

Thing is JB governments have Bern THROWING money at them for years Now and it dont seem to be getting any better or helping from what shit i see on the streets .

I was Stood on a main street  in Oslo selling some norway football scarfs couple years back.

Had about 10 scarfs laid out on the Floor with 100 or so other scarfs in a sports bag.

Then to my RH side a smackhead is slowly walking towards me with a needle stick out Of his arm .it was a really really bad sight as shoppers
Mums Dads kids could see This drug addict .

Police turn up and Ask me to pack my stuff up and move on ,which i did
And the Police carried on walking down the road with out saying fcuk all to the smackhead .

Its as Thou society Goes out of Their  way to make life Easy for These fcukers who Cant Help them sens .

Something needs to Change ,just i dont have answers

Make it all legal. It's then taxable, a cleaner product and would lower the amount of revenue serious criminal gangs make substantially.

Yes many addicts would be paying for their drugs through burglary and theiving. That way at least a large portion of the money goes back into the system to fund rehabilitation facilities, rather than some Mr bigs back pocket.

I think in the long term it would be massively beneficial to all concerned. I just don't think any politicians have the b*llocks to stand up and put that proposal out there.

It's just my take on it Oslo.

For every alcoholic out there, there are plenty of drinkers who can moderate sensibly and don't let it interfere with their professional and family lives. The same goes for drug users in my experience. I know plenty of people who on a weekend take drugs and party, but they are ready for work on Monday morning. The same goes for a cannabis smokers, their joint on a night is in my opinion no different to the man who looks forward to a couple of tins or the woman who has a glass of wine.

But for every hundred of those, there are a few who can't distinguish when it is and when it isn't a good idea take something or have tht extra drink.

It will always be the same, but for some reason it's more accepted to be a piss head and be paid alcoholics allowance than it is to be a smack addict. It's all the same thing to me, your just addicted to a different chemical/substance. The difference is that drink is legal because it's taxable and at present drugs are not.
